My son's first birthday was June 22 and we had his party on the 25. He did really well until we got to opening gifts. He hates having to be sill for anything. What was your child's first birthday like? What kind of theme did you use. We did my son's party in a space theme.

I have three children and for all of them we did a character that they liked at the time. We just had a small party at our house for them. Nice and simple. =)

My son's first birthday party was exclusive for our family members and close family friends. He was really innocent and got confused when a lot of people came and celebrate the party with us. The first gift he had was a bicycle and he really enjoyed it.

Hi! I don't have a child yet but I had a niece who had a very nice first birthday party. She was dressed like an angel, white dress, with wings and halo. She was really cute. But her birthday decorations was all Disney princesses. But in the middle of the celebration, she threw tantrums. But it was a great celebration. A lot of kids enjoyed it.

I have two daughters so you could probably say I'm a bit of an expert when it comes to party-planning. My first daughter had a carebears themed party. I went all out with the decors on that one. She had hundreds of colorful balloons on the ceiling with cloth swags. We also had an inflatable bouncer, a glitter tattoo artist, some food carts, and a 2-layered cake. We had a magician host who facilitated the program and the games. For my second daughter, the theme was Rainbow Brite. She also had lots of balloons on the ceilings and a magician host. But I had to scrimp a little on that party so there was no inflatable bouncer, no glitter tattoo artist and no food carts. But we had tons of game prizes so the kids still had so much fun.
