Gaddafi to Take War to Europe

"The Libyan (and African) people are capable, one day, of taking the battle to Europe and the Mediterranean ... They could attack your homes, your offices, and your families could become legitimate military targets because you have transformed our offices, headquarters, homes and children into military targets which you say are legitimate," says colonel Muammar Gaddafi - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-13997322 As terrible as this situation is, I agree that war is the only language our self-declared world police and imperialists can understand. (Sigh) My soul however rejoices today in knowing members of the African Union (AU) finally stood up after realizing they had been taken for fools and declared the "arrest warrant" on Gaddafi by the ICC void - http://news.yahoo.com/au-members-agree-disregard-icc-gadhafi-warrant-160534980.html It sure is good news to know the African leaders got the message that the ICC has stepped outside its legitimate jurisdiction of mere peacekeeping. I am glad to know Muammar Gaddafi can roam freely in more than 50 nations!

In some respects you have to admire the guy. The most powerful countries in the world telling him to quit attacking people who are rebelling against him and he thumbs his nose at them and has fought them to a stand still. Now these powerful countries tell him that he is a naughty man and they are going to arrest him. His response is I'll take the fight to you. He now is telling his people to take the war to Europe which I take to mean that individuals not his army will attack European targets. He was one of the first modern leaders to use State Sponsored Terrorism and was very good at it. This is what happens when you try to fight a polite and correct war. You can't fight a war by going in and dropping a couple of bombs and telling the other guy to stop fighting. You certainly don't start a war that you don't intend to win. What we have done is created a super hero in the Arab World. He is basically telling the Arab world look at me, I am still her and the mightiest armies in the world can't touch me. You can't sent a message and hope they get it you have to make sure they get the message and understand what it means.

Bobmnu, Libya is a sovereign nation and thus entilted to the right to manage its national affairs. The absurd assault on Libya by the US and NATO are unjustified: You conveniently seem to forget that we are in Libya for: 1). Oil which has eventually resulted in the US releasing oil reserves to preserve economy - http://www.blindbatnews.com/2011/06/obamas-order-to-release-u-s-oil-reserves-is-bs-27-other-countries-to-release-oil-reserves-is-also-bs/5135 2). Muammar Gaddafi would not kiss behinds of Western bullies and imperialists, and 3). Gaddafi, just before being attacked by US, UN and NATO, announced he will compaign to repudiate both the dollar and euro as trading currency in Africa. While Gaddafi may appear a tyrant (and the result of African tradition), Muammar Gaddafi is not a "dictator" or "mad dog" as some say. When it comes to International affairs, Muammar Gaddafi is a Freedom Fighter.

You are correct in stating that Muammar Gaddafi, win or lose, will emerge as a super hero from this 2011 assault by the UN and NATO. And whether some people accept it or not, the fact in this matter is that Muammar Gaddafi is an international freedom fighter - The absurd assault on Gaddafi by the UN and NATO with support of the Au was nothing but resentment for an African leader who over time managed to keep noted imperialists at bay. And to attack Gaddafi for keeping Libya independent is an assault against free society and independent humans. Did you know that the Central Bank of Libya under Gaddafi was independent of the IMF and World Bank?
