"God gives us money, pleasure, sorrow whenever we are destined to. Our efforts do not sharpen them. or lessen them" -- I have come to this based on my experience.
It is because when I was young I use to try to for getting work and out of 10 I use to get 1. After becoming old I am given work not according to my choice but according to what others want(God). Interesting.
I believe in running all the time so that we stay in the same place.

Hi ravisivan: I think that you are probably right. The things usually don't happend the way we plan them but according to God will. That's something we should understand but for some people like me it is still difficult and hard becuase, I would like to have something for me, some kind of stability for granted. But you are right we need to be prepared for run and to see all the opportunities that are around us, not just the first choice that came to our minds.

Stability -- that is an elusive matter nowadays. No government is stable- no market is stable and hence no person can be stable in any place/organisation/hierarcy. good day.

The ole saying this reminds me is that "Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you are gonna get". This is so true, we can work, work, hope, hope and simply do not know what the end result is.
We simply have to continue trying.

I will rephrase " giving up is not an option to be adopted in life". Nice observation. I know HWG always dances and is running at the same time. A very busy woman/active woman.
