I really do think I've fallen in love with him...

The problem is...
He's ... well, "celebrity" is a little too strong a word, so is "rock star" or "famous." He's in a band that has toured around the world, been on MTV, Fuse, he's been on Broadway (was even offered another role recently) but "celebrity" is a really big word. He is also my friend...ish. I've not yet been admitted into the elite circle of text messaging friends but we are Facebook friends and he leaves me comments occasionally and he recognizes me on the street.
As much as my heart wants to believe it could happen, my brain knows it's all a fantasy; that I'll never REALLY have a chance with him. But my friends, on the other hand, ask me why? Why does it have to be a fantasy? Sure, if it was someone else, someone with whom I hadn't had a couple of decent chats, who hadn't admitted he has a picture of my tattoo saved on his computer...then, fantasy, sure. But with this particular person, why does it have to be just a fantasy? "You are super cute together," they say. "Buy him a bottle of vodka for Christmas," they say, "and by the time the two of you finish drinking it, you'll be making out like teenagers."
That kind of thinking does me no good. If other people believe it could happen, then I start to believe it!! When they ask me why not, the best response I can come up with is he's in New York and I'm in Colorado...but I'd gladly move. So then we are back to "why not?"
