What motivate you to start blogging in the first place?

I noticed many people are using blogs not only for self actualization and journal but also for businesses.Many are using paid services but many also started from scratches. I think the best way to start blog is learning by doing, however we need to read advise from the expert to make our learning cycle shorter.. I was being motivated and eager to learn blog development after came across to famous and professional bloggers like steve pavlena or Darren rowse.. How about you? Where did you learn to built blogs and what motivate you to start blogging in the first place?

Ever since I was little, I've loved to write, and blogging seems like a way to fulfill that creative outlet, without the heartbreak that is writing a novel for no one to publish. If my blog becomes successful, then I will feel fantastic, if my blog earns just enough to pay back the hosting costs, I will still be pleased. I will only be upset if my blog is completely unsuccessful - but at least I will have tried.
Sites like polyvore inspired me to blog.
