Need Creative Minds

One of the most important things in forming a nonprofit is coming up with the PERFECT name for your organization...and I am having a hard time coming up with something for mine. So I'm turning to you all for help! My organization is going to be an animal rescue (of course ) and I am going to focus on saving and rehabilitating "aggressive/nonadoptable" dogs. I will also be rescuing FIV + cats and cats with the same "aggressive/nonadoptable" that I will work with and try to regain their trust in humans. I want a title that conveys my point that no animal is beyond help or hope. A couple names I have come up with are Lost Hearts/Souls (not sure which word I like better there) and New Beginnings. Neither of those names really stand out to be as being great, and I def. want a great name for my rescue. I also made a note to myself that I want the word "beyond" in my name, but that is all I got for that haha. Totally not a necessity. *On a side note, I'm also thinking about dedicating a space to rescuing small mammals (mice, rats, hamsters, etc) just because they seem to be the animals that people forget about when it comes to rescue. My creativity is gone today, but if I think of something, I will let you know..In the meantime, I do like Abandoned Love I kind of feel like I need a sanctuary with a name like this right now...

I'm not typically not good on creating names for anything but I'll give it a try. I'm gonna have to go with "The Wild Animal Rescue Team" or The WART. It's simple, catchy and easy to remember.

LOL! I really like that, it is catchy! But I think it might mislead people into thinking I'm a wild animal rescue and not a domestic animal rescue. But I would love to have a name that I could shorten into letters like that! I just don't know if I'll be able to come up with one! lol

Just gave you the best I had. I really do think you can come up with something better. For one thing, I came up with our band name back in highschool. The Pain. Sounds like a hard metal band, right? We played a couple of Gin Blossoms and a Goo Goo Dolls song.

I think it has to have a positive theme to it...how about "Angel Care - Saving the Unloved" or "Second Chance Animal Shelter"? With the first one...you could use either of the parts separately or the whole thing.

I thought about "Last Chance" but I wasn't sure if that sounded a little tooo....negative. I just thought it sounded kind of dark and not hopeful. Haven of Hope, thats a good idea Thanks!

I looked up Second Chance and it's already taken! I like 'Angel' I might have to work around that. I tried Fallen Angels, but that was taken too. Hmmm... I've come up with 'Hope(s) Haven' but i'm not sure how I feel about it. Whether I like it with or without the 's' and if it sounds right...not sure!

Hi there sweetie, Gosh, I'm not so good at this stuff but the first words that came to mind after reading your description were 'Guardian and Sanctuary' for some reason. Just remember when you choose a name, people will have a tendency to shorten it down to one or two words, or abbreviate it with just letters. It's just an easier way to remember it. I'll keep thinking and come back if I think of anything.

This is a wonderful idea. you are trying to make the point no animals are beyond hope or help so what about Never Beyond Hope Rescue or something like that. New beginnings does sound like something someone had probably done before. Not very unique. I will keep thinking though :) I am sure whatever the name is the work that you do and help that you give is what counts.

So, you gonna start a nonprofit organization of your own, that is something huge though. Rescuing animals can be the great step, and I am sure you will be great on it. I don't know if the names are suitable for you or not. "Animal haven", "Rescue shelter", Abandoned love", etc...... Just something I had come up my mind only.

I think those are good suggestions, but I think "Haven" has been used A LOT in animal rescues, and I def. want something unique that will help my organization stand out from the rest. Abandonded Love is really good! I'll be putting that on my list Thank you!

I'm not very good at this sort of thing. I have to think of how I'd feel if were unadoptable/ unloved by anyone or anything..... I have a dog in the back yard who fits that description right now. But, I think it all boils down to the heart. How many people use their hearts instead of their heads when looking at a lost animal? So, with that in mind, I have no ideas :( So sorry, but love comes in all shapes and sizes and cats and dogs and mice and hamsters too ! Love is the only answer.. hugs, quita
