As you might already know, AT&T promoted its $50, none - contract, unlimited talk and text message to compete with Wal - Mart straight talk, Metro PCS, and other second - tier mobile service providers. In response such competition on non - fancy phone sector, Verizon also release "Unleashed" plan, pretty much similar to AT&T plan, $50 unlimited on everything, such as talk and text message. With such competition through the big players, we would expect better price in the near future on mobile phone service.

Where did you find this. I went to the AT and T web site and cannot find it. If you could point it out to me I would appreciate it. I need a cell phone that does not cost too much money and this would be perfect for me.

This is one good thing with company having competition.
Each company are trying their best to come up with new promo, new offer to attract costumer.
Sprint/Nextel come up with so many offers and many costumers from different companies transferred their services to Sprint/Nextel.
This is one reason why Verizon also wants to do the same to retain their costumers.
