There are so many options these days. You can use Netlix to catch up. Or even hulu. Lots of people have dvr's. A person does not "have to" be in front of the tv during a broadcast anymore. Just wondering, does anyone do that anymore?

I hardly ever watch "live" TV. My husband & I own both a DVR & a blue-ray DVD player that allows us to watch instant play on Netflix, so either we watch our programs on Netflix or on our DVR. Besides I can't stand commercials & watching TV this way allows me to fast-forward through them.

I love our blue-ray player. I cannot believe how much "live" tv we no longer watch!

Hi ersmommy! Come to think of it, I rarely watch television now. I often download shows from the internet. Basically because, those shows that I download are not available in our local television and some are not even available in cable. I just download them via torrent and watch them at my free time.

I'm probably one of the few that still watch tv when it comes on lol. I can't afford to pay for dvr and even if I could, it wouldn't be worth it because i'd probably have tons of stuff waiting on it to watch that i'd never find the time to watch. i like watching things when they come on tv. I think it's ridiculous how you can watch things on your cell phone now too. I don't need to watch tv that bad that I'd watch it on my cell phone.

i have a dvr so i can tape some shows in the evening if i fall asleep. i have digital cable. i wish i had more options for cable. in my area, we only have one cable station the rest is the dish. i wish i had more cable choices because then maybe my cable bill wouldn't be so high. with competition, the companies could lower their prices. i don't have that option where i live, however

At the end of this month I am turning off my cable. Since PBS combined with the local community college it is useless now. Most of the other stations just have garbage on them. It is either people gorging themselves on food or idiots who fill their homes with filth and get on TV to show the world what slobs they are. How disgusting. I don't want to watch people having affairs with each other or shows about rape etc. Even the History channel has junk on it most of the time now. So why have a TV? Why bring trash into my home?

I do watch live TV from time to time but certainly not as much as I used to before I had netflix, and hulu in my life. I pretty much watch live TV on sundays to see new episodes of shows on showtime that I love, but I often forget or am not home so I end up just watching it on demand.
