OMG that is just not right in my opinion. I have to say though I'm glad she didn't walk out today like she thought she was. However, knowing in six days she will be a free woman is quite disturbing. The court system needs to be revamped because I don't believe its working. To many guilty people are being set free and to many people are spending to many years in jail for a crime they didn't commit. When they say its the best system in America, I laugh because it really isn't.

One (for now) very specific question I have for you:
What do you believe she should still be in jail for? Since she has already served sentences for the crimes she was convicted of, under what convictions should she still be in jail for?

I was just hoping that she had more then a week left to serve. I heard comments maybe up to Christmas and I would have been very happy. Though I'm really very happy that she was not released today. She came in with her hair down, makeup thinking she was going home. She changed her attitude real fast as did the defense team and that was great to see!

It's just unreal. Especially since two jurors have come out saying that they are just sick with the result of not guilty. I think that a lot of the jurors if not all think that she was most likely guilty, but just didn't feel there was enough evidence to prove it. What really stinks is Casey is bound to make money off being interviewed or book deals and the such. But I also think she is going to be hounded by people that hate her and think she is a murderer.

I hope she doesn't get a day of peace once she is released. After all she has put her family through. She deserves nothing of a beautiful life but a horrible life.
She killed her baby and she knows it.

I don't know of anyone happy with the verdict. But the other option is mob rule. Sure, most people think she is a monster but what about the strange man down the block who is accused of something? Because people are afraid of him, because he looks and acts strangely and keeps to himself he would be judged innocent if a community's outrage were to influence a jury. A reclusive, shy person would be sent to jail for nothing other than trying to be left alone because of public opinion. Would any of us like that? That's what would happen eventually if the public were to have their way with Casey Anthony.
The justice system isn't perfect, far from it, but it's the fairest in the world. It doesn't seem like it right now but it's much better than mob rule or kangaroo courts.

I agree, lelin. I can not believe they let that child killer go.
