Hello fellow readers! I just love fantasy and historic novels. I would like to know if you have any recommendations for books within these genres. When I say historic novels i'm refering to titles as the Emperor-series, or Pillars of the earth. have a good day!

I would say the Master and Commander series, War and Peace, etc. I have a lot of historical books but they're all non fiction! so it's hard for me to recommend historical fiction. Possibly the Philippa Gregory series as well. They are quite good even though the history is very wrong in some places.

Have you read Conn Igguldon's Genghis Khan books? I believe wolf of the plains is the first one, and I thought it was fantastic, I got lost in this series, depite expecting not to enjoy them. In terms of fantasy, my personal favourites are David Eddings' Belgariad & Mallorean series, and the Dragonlance chronicles by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. My partner loved the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind and he strongly recommends them to fantasy fans.
