Since I'm going vegan I bought this cook book called Super Market Vegan. All the recipes sound so delicious so I'm really excited. But I still was wondering if anyone out there had some other recipes that I should try out.

I highly recommend checking out www.theppk.com. It is a website with a forum (for support, sharing of recipes, general chatting), a vegan blog, and a recipe site. It was created by Isa Chandra Moskowitz, (co)author of quite a few excellent vegan cookbooks such as Vegan With a Vengeance and Veganomicon. Those books along with the website are an excellent way to get started as a vegan!

Wow! Thanks for the website. I've heard of it before, but had no idea it was this good! I signed up for the forums. They have great recipes there too.

Congratulations on this noble & very multi-beneficial decision of yours. If you wish to share it with us... what was it that inspired you to change your diet? I've been strictly vegan for over a decade now. I'd highly recommend you use as much good quality, fresh certified organic produce as possible. The taste alone makes the extra you pay so very worthwhile. One of our active members here, RawBill1, runs his own online business in selling raw food vegan products, etc. You can check it out from the link in his profile or just run a search on rawpleasure. He has dozens of links to other websites that will help you on his profile page. You have picked a great time to go vegan! In this day & age there are so many more resources available to help you in this endeavor. You can sign up for free to a great many websites like vegansecrets, care2, veganchef... & the list goes on. An excellent starting point is always to take yourself out to a good vegan eatery or restaurant in your area & ask for recipes for anything you like or what looks good. From my experience, the owners are delighted & only too happy to share them with you. You don't get that sort of treatment elsewhere! Some will even invite you into their kitchen so you can see how it's done! The recipes really are very beautiful. They are also simple, inexpensive & very good for you, good for the environment, good for the animals, good for others... All the Best.
