Finally a mother

Philippines
July 9, 2011 7:30am CST
After 38 weeks and 2 days, i finally gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last July 1, 2011. I never experienced the usual labor process, breaking of water bag, mucus plug and others. At 38th week of pregnancy, my ultrasound showed that my baby is still on breech position, and according to my OB Gyne, there's no more chance for the baby to go on cephalic position (head first) so she advised a caesarian section to be done. I am enjoying motherhood now :) despite of the sleep deprivation at night :) Seeing my baby's smile and seeing her angelic face while she's asleep makes it all worthwhile :)

How nice! She must be the center of attraction to the family now. Get well soon Mommy, eat a balanced diet with more on fruits and vegetables for faster recovery. I hope the surgical incision will heal fast without any complications. Congratulations...

Thanks. One week after my operation, i was able to go to the mall already and watched a movie. I took advantage of that time while i still have my mom at home to take care of the baby, for i know, after that it will take a long time before i can go and watch a movie again. And I was correct. Now, i'm spending all my time with my baby.

The earlier you ambulate, the earlier you recover from the post operative pains. You know, our body driven by our minds. Have a positive attitude towards fast recovery, that is, and keep yourself well hydrated. Drink a lot of fruit juices, eat healthy, and at least a well balanced diet. Congrats Mommy...

Congrats!! There is nothing quite like the miracle of a birth. Now owrds will ever be able to completely describe it. Enjoy all the moments. I know at times it will seem as if you are stuck in a time warp, but time goes by so very very quickly. My children are grown and yet it seems like only yesterday I was taking them home from the hospital. Enjoy every moment..God Bless

Congratulations jasmin_niza! I'm a new mommy as well. My baby is only 2 months old now. My baby was in breech position during my second ultrasound. The doctor told me to save money because I might give birth through caesarian section. We asked our baby (in my tummy) to please change his position. His daddy often speaks to him and through prayers my baby changed into cephalic position on my third ultrasound. I gave birth through normal delivery and without anesthesia, painful but sweet! It is hard to be a mommy but very rewarding :)

Congratulations on the birth of your dear little baby girl. I hope that now she is 4 weeks on you are getting on well. It was such a shame due to her being breech you had to have a c-section. I have had three home births due to this being my choice. I had a retained placenta the first time, a disabled baby the second time and severe bleeding the third time. Now I have a 16 year old son, a 4 year old disabled son and a 2 year old son.

Hello Jasmine, Congratulations dear. How is your little angel? I am so happy to hear the good news and thank you so much for informing the same as soon as you could. Lol the sleep deprivation is a problem and slowly you will used with the same. Try to find some time to sleep while your baby sleeps so you can catch up the left over sleep. Once you are used with her routine it is so easy to adjust with it. Once again congrats hugs to your angel.

Congratulation to you that you finally becoming a mother. It is really wonderful to add another new member into the family. I'm sure your baby is cute and adorable. Hope you will soon be familiar with your new environment, since taking care of newborn baby will needs we to sacrifice our sleep a lot. I had gone through this kind of situation when my son was a baby a few years ago.

Congrats! I had my 1 and only child c-section. I didn't even feel contractions. I was in the hospital 1-1/2 weeks before having my daughter. My nurse was laughing because I wasn't feeling any labor pain said that many women would love to be in my position. My daughter was scheduled to be delivered the following week since the amnio was saying her lungs weren't fully developed. They were close but they didn't want to take any chances so she wouldn't need to be on a ventilator. Her came my daughter anyway and her lungs were fine. That was 3 yrs ago. Enjoy your baby now while she's little. Again congrats!

Congratulations. Wow a new bundle of joy in the family. So cute. I love baby so much that I am now waiting to see her pics. If you can then may be sometime later in the month please upload a few pics of her. I'm sure she is adorable and cute. Even though you may be sleep deprieved at night the sight of her will make you so happy. Definately motherhood will be a challange as it will not be easy in the beginning. But as time goes by you will be used to things and will surely be an excellent mother. Congrats once again and enjoy the moment and wish you, your baby girl and your entire family the very best in life..God Bless..
