Here are a few tips for you. Many of us really don't like being spammed. I personally do not respond with any acceptance to friend requests from people who have zero posts or no activity. I am not here (nor have I ever been here) to interact with people who are A: looking for referrals for other sites B: trying to engage people in conversations about making money C: looking for people to add to my 'downline' that I'm selling D: looking for customers for a home business. I look for interesting people who have interesting things to say about subjects that interest me. I rarely if ever even respond to discussions about earning money. If you came here to spam users, please be aware that ISN'T why this site exists. It's not your personal playground to gain contacts for your use.

I agree, and feel much the same. Unfortunately though, your message is in vain. When a turkey sees its reflection on a car door, it will peck at its reflection until it injures itself. You can try to tell the turkey to stop, but it won't understand or acknowledge you. Spammers are much the same way. They keep spamming until they pay for it - even though users told them the error of their ways all along. I am fine with people putting ref links on their profile pages. And if the starter of a money earning discussion asks for more information, then maybe a ref link promotion is justified there to. It is however annoying when a conversation is underway and then the online prospector comes in with a reply loaded with "join now" links.

Turkeys are animals though and as such cannot think as humans do. We are clearly able to think and reason unlike animals - so people who do not - are they just as dumb as the turkey? LOL! While it's true that nobody HAS to listen to anybody else, I get the feeling that some people don't actually read the terms of service before joining a site. I also get the feeling there are a lot of people who enjoy 'policing' the site. People who are ignorant because they don't read things get on my nerves, as much as people who come down on them publically for being ignorant. This discussion is more about people who are not doing this out of ignorance, they are doing this because they believe this site really DOES exist for them to spam others lol. I belonged to a moms group for awhile and one of our policies is that you are not allowed to use our roster to 'spam' people if you have a home business or sell anything. Someone was caught doing it before - actually her HUSBAND did it. I think she was unaware that he had done it, but he didn't ASK her either, and a lot of us were pretty irritated by the fallout from it. I just don't like seeing the potential for something like that to ruin something great.

I figured why not say it, so many people dance around the issue and never come right out and say 'i don't want your spam' lol. I'm on the do not call list for a reason, we need an internet version of that.

DOH! I am so sorry! It wasn't meant personally lol. It was more or less an open letter to any of the users who come here with the intention of spamming people here for their business or money making ventures. I don't even enjoy seeing all the discussions centered around money making lol.

There are a lot of those here. They'll p.m. you with their links and stuff and tell you you'll be making money in no time. Sometimes ignoring them won't work at all. Although reporting them might lead to cancelation of their accounts or something. Try that.

Yes, there are lots of people who are like that. Most of them would like to add and collect friends in their friend list but then it is not just to make them as friends nor having conversations in discussions in here. They are just joining in here to promote their sites which are not quite good. Not all people like to have that.

I think it is not good to spam people like this. I am also here to earn but not by spamming others. I also did it when I was new here and I was searching for the fast cash programs. I think that was a mistake and I did that due to the lack of the experience. I like here to discuss the things with others and friends. I make friends who have got good skills in writing and who right good.

We have enough tools to take care of those you have mentioned in your topic and one needs to use them. myLot is pro user. When I accept a friend's request I look at their activity and decide accordingly. And as far as soliciting by means of creating topics there are guidelines that take care of that too. We have choices here.

Great discussion. I too don't like people who would ask me to join them in their site specially if they insist by saying, I'll join yours if you join mine! Well hello, i am not here looking for downlines, so i don't have any site to promote as well. My profile is clean of any sites but i do start a discussion (which is very rare) of some good sites that really gives good money. But i believe i posted only one.

I don't have problems with discussions about earning money sites, because we all know that most of the people who joins here in myLot, also work in another earning money sites too. So, I think is a good way to know the news about that and if some site is legit or not. But, I agree with you about the users that are only here to spam. I accept every friend request that I receive and, incredibly, only today I received my first message from a guy that was only looking for referrals. And, it was not a zero posts user, he already had around 100 posts.
