Its been an issue that the Philippines were not apart of Asian country. Most say Philippines is a Pacific Islander somehow its a discrimation being geographically placed in an asian continent.
Would you agree about it and why?

to my knowledge, the island nation that has many volcanoes as a series of Sirkum Pacific Mountains. Very fertile soil conditions that support agricultural activities include agriculture (in the form of rice, corn, and abaca or manila fiber), fisheries and forestry sectors (nearly half the forested land area). Besides a short river with the swift flow can be utilized as an energy source.

I don't know the "most" you're referring to. As far as I can recall, The Philippines had always been referred to as a country in southeast asia and I have yet to hear that it is a part of the pacific islands until now. Maybe my history knowledge is a bit out dated but personally, I can say that the Philippines is part of Asia in every way, although we are the only christian country in this part of the globe, our features resembles more that of thailanders, indonesians and malaysians than pacific islanders.

I dont think what you said is correct about "most say Philippines is a Pacific Islander" unless they dont know their geography.
Pacific islander is a geographic term to describe the indigenous inhabitants of any of the three major sub-regions of Oceania: Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia. Philippines is west of the nearest group of these three.
If you look at the map, Australia is closer to these islands than the Philippines. We dont hear people say Australians are Pacific Islanders.
Philippines, if you are not familiar with us, is part of Southeast Asia.

We are an Asian country and we are part of Asia. Some people don't brush their history texts and learn that our country was once connected to Asia by a land bridge. Since that land bridge disappeared so long ago, we are now a country with near neighbors.
I don't get the notion. If we are not Asians, then why not classify Japan and the Japanese people as well. Last time I remembered, they are also not connected to Asia but are considered as an Asian Country. The same also applies to Indonesia.
We are also part of the ASEAN (Association of South east Asian Nations) which is a indication that we are Asian people and our country is an Asian one.

besides the geographical positions mentioned above, another thing we have to look at is the language we speak, most of our hundreds of dialects that are spoken in our country is closely related with that of Malaysia and Indonesia, so it's most probable that we came from the same Asian stock, if you listen to them talking or read their text, their are so many words pronounced and having the same meaning as ours.
