What would you suggest to make Mylot better?

Mylot can be categorized as a social networking site right? yet there is no option for chatting here, My suggestion is a public chat box and a Private messaging window just like in facebook, where it shows who is online and available for chat. Don't you think it would be a good idea? What are your suggestions if you have any. Please share.

I like mylot the way it is. I like the idea that somehow we can still keep things privately from the public eye. We do socialize and interact but only through our discussions. We can send private messages but I don't think they are that private coz I believe mylot admin can take a look at it.

Hm, don't you think socializing would be better if we could talk straight up and such? Or at least a public chat box where we could say whatever we like, sounds fun to me, anyways thanks for sharing.

You can't socialize with people privately lol, i mean that won't be socializing, and i don't see the difference between a site's IM and other IMs like msn and yahoo, they all the same right?

In my opinion, adding a chatbox for chatting will greatly reduce the discussion postings. Taht is what we are paid for here in myLot. Though it is a good feature to add, you still can't defer to a new feature which will jeopardize the way people can earn in here. That's just my opinion about your suggestions. But a nice addition would be that tool wherein you can know who is online or not. I always consider myLot as a forum that's why I still want to push the creation of sticky threads. This will help the community a lot as everything important or necessary can be accessible always. It saves the forum too of duscussions that always double up.

I don't see why discussion has to be reduced. If you prefer earning from the discussion then why would you want to reduce it? :P anyways thanks for your input.

rock rock chatting would ruin discussions as people are already lazy as it is so they will just jabber and not make discussions or respond just talk talk talk;.mylot is not like facebook and a lot of us like it like that. mylot is unique its not supposed to be another facebook at all. go to facebook if you want that hooey, we do not need it here. I suggest that mylot not change much of anything here, its perfect as is or a lot of us would not have stayed so long here . there are a zillion private messaging sites and chat rooms why ruin a discussion forum with that stuff.

I think you got me wrong, i never said mylot is another facebook or have to be like another facebook, i was just referring to the chat options that they got on facebook and i know people are lazy but its their choice to be lazy, i dont see how chatting would ruin discussions or make them more lazy. If you consider your discussion forum is getting ruined cause of private messaging, then mylot is already ruined right? cause it does has a private message thingy too.

It could be a good idea but then wouldn't it take away from the purpose of being here?
And that is to start good discussions and have people to respond to them?

Chatting could be another extra purpose to be here, Discussions and chatting casually are two different thing, plus it can be way to let your friends know about the awesome latest discussion you posted.

Friend I love mylot and I thing everything is here no extra requirements because we have no time for chatting and here discussion means just like chatting we put our problems or news or other activities here and lot of friends answers on it. This is also a good way for chatting and message box is also appeared I received many personal message from my friend. But yes at least mylot should show who is online and who is not like green sign on facebook or orkut.

Mylot search works, just goes by the keywords i guess, so it becomes important when you do your keywords. So if people do their keyword properly it would be that hard to find the right post.
