Has any mylotters seen the Jaycee Lee Dugard interview with Diane Sawyer that aired on ABC Sunday evening? I had to work but you can watch the entire interview by going to ABC.com. I watched it today. I do not know what to say. It is chilling. It is shocking. It is gripping. It is poignant. It is inspiring among so many other things. What she went through!!! And how well she is doing is amazing and wonderful both. I wish her and her family wonderful long lives. I really recommend watching the interview. There was no mention of her stepfather. At first, he was considered a suspect. The marriage to Jaycee's mother ended in divorce after her abduction. And her stepfather had to deal with being named a person of interest. I do not believe that he was ever really cleared until Jaycee was found. He was interviewed after she was found but I have not heard anything about him since. And he was not mentioned in yesterday's interview. I have searched for information about him but can not find any.

I saw the interview sunday night. I,too, was shocked on how well she is doing! All the hell Jaycee went through and she is overcome alot of it! I think it helps she has a therapist, her mom,her sister, her daughters and writing the book! Not alot of people can overcome what Jaycee did! I look at her and it makes me frustrated. I was verbally abused growing up by my dad. I still can't get over the wall on this! I went through nothing compared to Jaycee Dugard and I feel I never will overcome it until my father passes on! So seeing the interview I had mixed feelings. I am happy for her and her mom! I am not happy with myself and my little problems I still go through! It sucks! With Jaycee Dugard stepdad I remember him telling his story when saw he Jaycee being aducted, when she was 11, and that he tried to find her after he saw her aducted with no luck. That was right after Jaycee was found. Since then I have not heard anything about him.

I am glad that she is doing so well. Apparently her children are also. I wish them the best. The stepdad was interviewed after Jaycee was found. I believe that his ex-wife, Jaycee's mom, called him to tell him that Jaycee was found alive and well. He had been a suspect and his marriage to Jaycee's mom ended in divorce after her abduction. He is finally cleared. But, there has been no further mention of him since soon after Jaycee was found. He was not mention or interviewed on Sunday. I wonder why. Something had to have happened between the stepfather and others.

I saw part of the interview. It is so sad what she had to go through. And her captors should be in jail for the rest of their lives. That way her and her children would feel a lot safer. She and her kids will have emotional issues to deal with for the rest of their lives. But like she said he didn't steal everything. He may have harmed her but he couldn't take what she has inside.I think she is a very brave girl and I wish her and her family the best.

You can always see the entire interview at abc.com. It was riveting and has stayed with me. What a strong person Jaycee was and is. And this is sort of a happy ending. This never should have happened to her. Phillip Garrido should never have been freed to do this to anyone. But once he abducted her, the justice system failed Jaycee over and over again. There must have been a higher power watching over her that it ended so well.

I missed seeing this interview. I picked up a shift at work yesterday. I'll have to look on their site and see the interview. Or when in doubt wait for her book to hit the library, provided I could bear to read it in further detail then I imagine the tv interview provided.

When you have time, check it out on abc.com. It needs to be seen. It is haunting. You will always remember this interview. The book might be difficult to read but it probably also need to be read. Good for Jaycee that she is sharing this with the world. All the more power to her.

I'd never heard of her until I looked her up just now. Wow. That's a heck of a story and, given how well she's doing, I'll bet her experience will be an amazing boost for studies of Stockholm Syndrome as well as everything else. Nice to see she pockets $20 million from the state for their lapses in not investigating and also gets a book deal. I just hope people leave her alone enough for her to live a relatively normal life (assuming she wants to) from here on out. Also nice to see the guy get a 431-year prison sentence. Now that's justice.

You can always catch the interview at abc.com. It is gripping. You will be affected. You will be haunted by the story. What happened to Jaycee never should have happened. Phillip Garrido should not have been released from prison to begin with. And once he was, his monitoring was sloppy and careless. The justice system left her down. An angel must have been by her side that she first of all survived but that she is doing so well. She is living testimony to the strength of the human being. As you might imagine, she has a therapist and the therapist was interviewed describing her psychological state of mind during her imprisonment. The therapist discussed Stockholm Syndrome but also mentioned another psychological phenomena which I can not recall.

Jaycee was extremely brave considering her conditions, Stockholm syndrome is something that's very difficult to deal with and physical relationships with their captor. I am glad Jaycee is doing okay and that something good came out of the bad situation, she's got beautiful kids that make her happ and make her proud. Relationships sometimes don't last, especially when the media makes such a big deal out of everything. One book that I would read is about Jaycee's life with her captor and Elizabeth Smart's book because these are two true blue females that deserve a great life and a second chance! Her mom and dad never quit looking for her despite of breakups or captives. They never gave up on her and thank God she's with us and she is okay. Thank God her captors are being punished for what they done.

What happened to Jaycee and her family never should have happened. The justice system failed. I am glad that it has had such a happy ending. Situations like this usually do not end so well. I do not know if it ended that well for her stepdad. He was considered a suspect in her disappearance. His marriage to Jaycee's mother ended in divorce. After Jaycee was found, he was interviewed on television. This was right after Jaycee was freed but there has been no mention of him since. And there was no mention of him in Sunday's interview. So something has not gone well for him.

It is possible that some of it is on Youtube. Can you not access abc.com on your computer , even outside of the US? She has written a book that is just being released. You might be able to read the book eventually. I am certain that we will be hearing more from Jaycee in the future. The stepdad was considered a suspect in her disappearance. Jaycee's mother divorced him after Jaycee was abducted. He was interviewed very soon after Jaycee's release but I have not heard from him since. He was not mentioned in Diane Sawyer's interview on Sunday so there must be a problem between him, Jaycee and her mother. Too bad. His life was ruined also.
