I think your case is not a severe case of depression, because you start to do new things. In a severe case of depression, the person don't want to do nothing. I have to say that the best way, at least based on my own experience, is that this case like yours (which is pretty much similar to what I had) would get a lot better if you start some medications. You should go to a psychiatrist. I started to take some medication with paroxetine and I'm a lot better. My dad used to say that we decide when we are in depression or not, but that's not that way it is. I really try to get out of depression by myself, but only with the medication that I can say that I'm feeling better.

I think that maybe you should start with therapy to see if this work to your case. I have to say that I don't have many experience with therapy, I only went 2 or 3 times, but I didn't liked the professional and I thought it was too expensive. But, I have some friends that they told me that therapy made wonderful things for them. Is a good thing to try a not much evasive method to cure your depression. Yes, like all medications it can have side effects. I didn't have any bad side effects, so, for me, is been great so far.

yes bro..it is possible to get out of it widout taking medicines...coz to me it doesnt looks lyk ur completely in serious kind of depresion...thes can be cured just bi being around with people...it will take tym ..but i can bet ull fell a lot better...and the thing is ..it depends on a person about how he/she handles it...sooaccording to me there is no need to take medication...u can consult a psychiatrist to be on the safer syd...abd yess medicines can have side effects too.

Maybe it's just stress? If it persists for too long, seek professional help.

I think that friends and family are very important in the recuperation of a case of depression. But, sometimes they do support you, but your case don't improve. I think that sometimes the person need to find another help besides than their family. Usually, a medical help is also need in cases like that.

Just accept your own ability and potential and do not compare it with others or with any standard .Whatever you have and whatever you have gained or learned be satisfied with that. keep yourself calm and relaxed without thinking about your exams , your results or anything related to it which is constantly hammering your mind and keeping you depressed .Do this several times in a day for short interval of time like 5 minutes or so and this will definitely relieve you from your depression
