I am about to enter my junior year of high school and i have been thinking a lot about college. I know I want to get away from the state I currently live in and go to NYC. I want to go NYU. The Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music to be exact. I've been reading on the expenses of living in NYC and it seems so unreasonable but I have been to NYC and I fell in love. I know that is where my heart and that is the place I'm supposed to establish my career. The only thing that seems to stand in the way is money. I haven't read too much into loans but do you think you could give me some advice?

I also went to NYC and totally fell in love. But as you said, it is pricey to live there, and as a "starving" college student it will be bery difficult. You could always go to college somewhere else, and move to NYC after you have an education. It will be easier to get a job. Look at other schools and programs in other states, if you really want to get away from home. lol And as mentioned, your school counselor should help you a lot.
