i love thinking. but sometimes it tend to be over thinking. you know how it is when you are caught in a contemplative mood of trying to analyze every aspect or angle before coming up with a decision. but the thing is sometimes you ended up doing nothing at all. true they say that too much analysis causes paralysis (that's why nike's ad campaign was ' just do it). And there are instances too when life would bring something else when you busied yourself making other plans. so guys how much of a thinker are you?

Yes, I do believe to about Paralysis by Analysis. This happens to me quite often too. Sometimes, problems should be looked at using simple analysis. But it can't be helped to try and use complicated methods and ideas when dealing with them. This is a common problem to broad thinkers as they are the ones who usually make problems seem difficult to solve when in fact the solution can be quite simple. I admit I tend to over analyze things at times. Especially when dealing with people. I always tend to think and think about the unknown and what could happen. Maybe the worrier will be the most one affected by this phenomenon.

I am an over thinking person. I always think a lot of the consequences if i do this or if i didn't do this. Even when i want to buy a file, i used to take half an hour to buy a file, just because of i standing there and thinking of what color of file and what type of file to buy. By the way, an over thinking person is not equal to a good decision maker.

It's true. Sometimes when we think too much we couldn't decide on anything at all and we end up doing nothing. Sometimes i am caught in such a dilemma. But i think i have outgrown it. Now i'm just taking life easy and i'm not much of a worrier and i fret less as before too. Good that you brought this up. This somehow reminds me of what i shouldn't do, just in case i forget.

I generally try to think of every aspect of my life and choose my actions carefully, but there are moments when I also have the impression that I think too much and it's sometimes better to take it easier and make less analysis. The fact is that no matter how much we think and try to plan everything beforehand, there's always the unpredictable which can spoil our plans and turn things into a completely different direction, and the outcome of what we carefully planned might be the complete opposite of what we expected to happen. That's why it's good to be a thinker, but it's not good to exaggerate and analyze everything, sometimes that can be useless and a waste of time.

i am a person very like to thinking. Sometime i will smile myself because i like thinking about funny thing. Then many time my friend say i a bit crazy, haha. I don't too care about this, because this can make me more happy in my life. But got 1 period , i cant smile , when i start thinking i am feel sad. Because that time i meet some problem with my good friend. I always thinking why he treat me like this, what happen to us? And compare before and now, see the big difference really make me disappointed. Now is okay for me, i try don't over thinking for negative.

I also tend to over think things! And its true, it really is a negative quality to have in some instances. The more you think, the more stressed you tend to get about many situations. The trick is to not stress or think too much about the things you can't control and the things that have already happened - the only thing you can do is focus on what you CAN change!

I'm very much like you. I overthink everything and I hate it because it makes it really difficult to decide. I take everything into account. Sometimes I wish I could just make a decision without having to think about it too much because like you said it can lead to no decision at all.

I am 100% an over thinker. I get hooked on an issue and do one of two things: frustrate myself or scare myself. I want to know all there is and its impact on me, so I think and think and think and go around and around and around...only to end up no where. The worst part is looking at the clock and realizing just how many hours you wasted.

yeah i know what you mean... I overthink everything. I know for me it becomes a bad thing. If i'm alone and I think too much and for too long I start to get pretty depressed.... thats why its so good to have friends!! I would also say that as a girl I overthink relationships a LOT. I would say girls tend to overanalyze personal interactions, especially when it comes to men. We always read way to far into things or start overthinking the tiniest little reaction or interaction. I'm sure it drives men crazy. Heck, it drives me crazy that I do it.
