have you tried the 3 apple a day diet??

I am 25 years old, and all my life i have been skinny. But after I stopped working for a while, I gained 6 kilos in just 3 months! i guess being away from pressure can do this.lol Now, i want to lose this excess baggage, so to speak. I have heard from a friend that apples can do wonders. Anyone here who has tried this already?? I tried to do some research about this diet, and primarily the principle is to eat an apple 30 minutes before each main meal. Eating an apple will promote the feeling of fullness and reduce the tendency of overeating. It is also very rich in fiber, which aids in proper digestion. I'm going to start tommorow, so wish me luck!:)

Good luck on your new diet! :) I already heard about this properties of apple a few years ago, so, I started to eat an apple before lunch (1-2 hours before). It's good because you start to eat less food on lunch, but I have to say that I kind get bored because apple is not on my favorite fruits list.

I have never tried that diet. Apple is one of my favorite fruits. I eat them on a regular basis. They're a little bit expensive though in my country because they have to be imported from the US or China. When I eat an apple I do feel kind of full even if it's just a small apple. As a result I don't eat my main meal as much as if I don't eat one. So this diet makes sense if you want to become skinny. The fiber in apples actually comes mainly from its skin. So I suggest not to peel them.

I have never heard of this diet. Seems like others think it might have some merit, so I hope it works for you. When I first read your discussion, I thought it said that you gained '6 kids in just 3 months'. That left me confused, but only for a few moments. Enjoy your apples. If your tastes allow, at least there are a lot of different kinds of apples.

I've never tried this. What I do is make sure that half of my plate is filled with veggies, and only a quarter of the plate is grains and a quarter meat. (Unless we aren't having meat). If I am still hungry after, I drink a cup of water and wait a few minutes before having more vegetables. I think this apple diet could work for you because 30 minutes is definitely long enough for your stomach to get the full effects of eating the apple. It's too bad that i don't really like apples very much.

No i haven't and i am not on a diet cause i am thin enough to do so. I wonder what would i look like if i would have a diet. I think i will look like a skeleton for some reason. How was your diet anyway? have you tried 3 apples a day only? meaning no other food intake just those 3 apples in a day? wow, it could be really amazing that you won't feel hunger by that. i can't take that habit.

that seems a good idea^^ maybe i will try that too. but for me, to eat 3 apples a day will be a bit hard bcs i will feel like not eating that anymore. i like apples but eat one only sometimes not 3 in one day only ahah^^ anyway if this diet works for you please tell me. im also trying to be on diet and is not easy to lose weight at all. for weeks i was eating only fish and a bit of food only and i didnt lose almost any weight. so i wish you good luck really^^ also do exercise like walk one hour a day. that will make you feel better and you will be thin^^

I have never dieted at all. I am pretty thin. I just need to exercise a little more to tone things up more I think. It sounds like it might work the apple diet but then again for me I dont think I could stand eating 3 apples a day that would be way to often for me I would get so sick of them.
