I have also had the 'Bad Request' message two or three times recently. I assume that something went wrong with sending or receiving. The solution is to NOT hit the back button but to REFRESH (or press F5). The browser should ask you if you want to resend the data and, of course, you do, so answer 'Yes'.

It works with Firefox, neildc. I use it all the time and, in fact, proved it when I posted the response. As I recall, it also works with Chrome. I can't vouch for IE9: I use it so rarely that I have never had either a 'Bad Request' or a blank page from MyLot when using it.

I have had this happen here from time to time, and it was only just a couple of days ago really that it happened here as well. It can be quite frustrating when it happens as it is hard to remember what you might have wanted to say here as well. When this is happening it does get quite frustrating and usually I just close out of here or that discussion for a while and try again later.

I haven't had this happen to me for quite a while, but there are some times that it does happen to me while I am using mylot. I got so frustrated the first few times that it happened. However, I've finally learned that if my computer is taking a little bit too long to post the response, then I will copy the response that I've written so that if all of my written response is not lost. Then I can simply paste it back in when I get back to the discussion.

When I notice it takes longer than usual I quickly copy my work and wait and if I get the message 'bad request' I go back and paste the work once again. This way you do not have to create your comment or response again but just paste it again.

It happens mainly due to bad/slow internet connection...there is no problem with mylot atall....sometimes server load so increases that we get this kind of response from the server too

Same here! I though I was the only one getting this frequently. My primary suspect was my slow internet connection. Well, maybe both our connections is slow at some point or maybe there has been a problem with myLot connection every now and then. Yes, receiving that is quite irritating and annoying before. But since I already reached the 500 post mark, I was now able to enjoy the benefits of copying and pasting which helps me get out of troubles like this bad request thing. Just make it a habit to copy your posts when you are about to submit your posts. it helps greatly and save you from retyping all your content and recalling those ideas if ever problems like this occurs again.

I do that too but only if I notice that it is slow. Pressing the refresh button and re-sending may result in double posting.

It happens when the signal of your wireless is dropped. It happens when the history saved in your browser conflicts with your current browsing. It happens when you are using the Internet connection with receiving data when no IP address and DNS server is mentioned in your Internet protocol properties. Try using a good history remover ever now and then, to make sure you don't get such errors. Using FireFox is the best - even when your connections drops signals, your data even the things written in this box stay there, when using FireFox.

Yeah, it is server problem. I too faced the bad request problem. I can suggest you one way is you have to put some download while you are in mylot, then both the works with continuously run..

I guess it's happening to everyone. I wondered, too, because it happened to me a lot yesterday and once so far today. I got tired of it yesterday and went to do something else. It's discouraging.
