I know when a woman reach at the age of 40, changes in the physical, emotional and mental usually happens. Sometimes it affects work, there is mood swings and sleep disturbance. Is it a sign of pre-menopausal stage? I do not feel so well rested when I can not have 6=7 hours of sleep. I am feeling so lousy and what i am so concern of is that I feel lonely. I am alone in the house, now I am confused if I am really lonely or this feeling is just hormonal. I am medically inclined so I understand about things like hormonal change but I need your comments on your "self knowledge" on this issue, pls... Thanks and good morning!

I am not yet in that stage but my mom went through it at 50. I don't think that's pre-menapause since you're much too young. Well, unless you had your menstrual cycle very young or it's in your genes. Sounds to me you have goiter. It has the same symptoms the way you say it, but you'd be thinner and with buldging eyes and very very irritable. Anyhow, I think it would be better if you just have yourself checked so that questions would be answered by the right people instead of asking around here where people are not really trained for to spot symptoms. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

Hi laydee! I don't wanna scare myself, so I don't wanna go to a Doctor just for this. It is enough for me to know that my laboratory checks are fine and that I don't have abnormalities in my blood chemistry. What you describe sounds like a Grave's disease?? I hope not...Thank for your respond! good morning.

I think it's scarier if I don't know what is happening to me. I think it would be best if we hear it from the Doctor, at least we could do something about it at an earlier stage. You wouldn't want to wake up one morning losing a part of your body that you could've avoided if you only knew, right?
