Curious to hear what everyone's experiences are. I went to saturday school one time not for anything crazy but because i was always late for school. Our school had a demerit system and once you had a certain amount that equaled saturday school. I was good and school my only problem was being tardy. How about you?

I have not been in school for quite some time but this reminded me of my high school. I was the principal's favorite student... well from an outsiders point of view!
I was always visiting the principal's office for various reasons. Some of them were brought about by the fights I got into, arguments with my teachers that went out of hand. I was suspended from school several time for these in fact. Looking back, I don't know how I ever made it through school!
But it was a learning experience for me and I am what I am now because of what happened then.

I'm glad that your experiences have helped shape the person who you are today. Sometimes are experiences can have a negative affect on us. I have never been in a physical fight before I couldn't imagine getting into more than one, lol. Fights seem scary to me. I'm a pretty mellow, laid back type person and so i never really had any problems with others or vice versa.

For some reason when I was in high school I was a "fight magnet." I don't know why or how it happened most of the time, I feel like some people saw me as easy target... well that was their first mistake, the second one? Was actually finding out I was not one!
I like to think that I am like you as well, I am mellow and try to stay away from confrontation, been doing a better job of that lately
Of course it is decades too late it seems!

BTW, I find fights scary as well, thats why I stay away from it as much as I could... I just can't say no when someone crosses the line however...

In the Philippines, we get saturday classes mostly during the rainy season when floods fill up the school grounds or when the school was used as an evacuation center. We need saturday classes to make up for the lost school days.

Having a lot of rain and flooding I can understand that. Making up the lost school days are important . I haven't thought about all the flooding and the need to make up school days in other areas because of this. In our area school is canceled because of snow or fog we haven't usually don't have canceling because of flooding. Children in our area make up days in the summer usually during the week.
