A lady lived with her girlfriend and they wanted to have a baby. Therefore she ordered sperm from the Internet and used it. The next day clinic phoned and asked her to go there. When she arrived they put sperm into her. Amazingly two weeks later she got a successful pregnancy result. At her 12 week scan she was told she was having twins. Due to having two men give her sperm she didn't know which was the father. At her labor she told her mom that one of the men had been white and the other man had been black. The ladies were mixed race. Her twins were born: one white baby girl and one black baby boy. They were overjoyed with their darling little baby twins. What do you think of what happened?

Well...they take several eggs and fertilize them in the hopes that one will take. There is the chance that more than one will take and thus producing multiple babies. I have heard that women using that procedure can have triplets and more! I knew a lady at work that had it done..but it was with her husbands sperm..and she had twins too.

In IVF (In-vitro fertilization), a few fertilized eggs are used (as you pointed out ...in chances are more). But in such cases, the sperm of the same person is used. In some cases, one or more eggs will split after fertilization. This results in identical twins or else if more than one egg take, they are fraternal twins.

This happened in America. There is a way to buy sperm on the Internet! That is the first thing they did then at the clinic the next day she used another man's sperm. I think it is legal! It seems scientifically strange to me.

We can't buy sperm off the internet where I am at. But I think it's really risky. How would one know if the sperm donor has any disease that the lady could contract or the child could be born with?

maximax8, First of all, I simply could not be convinced that anyone could actually BUY sperm on the internet. Even if there is, I believe any sane healthy mother to be would not want to inject herself with it when they are not being proper screened for possible STD, AIDS and other possible birth defects. Also, IVF is a very delicate process which will need highly trained medical practitioners' close supervision and execution. The recipient will need to undergo several tests to prepare for the process with much follow ups and I remember includes numerous counseling sessions to prepare the recipient and the family. So, please forgive me if I am being cynical but you just cannot buy sperm and inject it ourselves. The sperm needs to be properly collected and stored; and the only place I can think of is a sperm bank which is being operated by legalized establishments like a medical hospital. Hence, a birth like this would not happen if the sperm had been carefully collected.

As long as the babies are healthy and are gbeing welcomed into a loving home so be it. But I dunno bout explaining to your kids how they came to be very different fraternal twins and all the fabulous questions that they will come up with as they grow up. Hopefully they are treated fairly as they are growing up and not made fun of ect because of how their existance came to be.

Yes, the babies born were healthy. I also hope that they will get on well in life. In school they will tell their teacher a very interesting story indeed. They have a very loving home I am pleased to say.

Wow! How lucky they are - a successful first time donor and then twins! I bet they must be thrilled it all went so well! There was a set of twins my friend went to school with and their dad was black and their mum white and they twins were born, one black and one white and nobody would ever beleive they were actually related! I guess nature is amazing that way!

hi dear friend, i loved to read your discussion. i wish i could also had done something like this ,lol, but i am also very happily married to my hubby and we are having a baby of three years. she is very talkative and cute. well but i think to have twins and having the pain just one time its bonus, the other baby, i mean. i love the idea. it is very happy to hear that the babies are very healthy and they are having beautiful loving mother , a pleasant atmosphere around them. in the school as you say, they will really enjoy and feel proud to tell their birth or conceiving story lol.

Hello maxi, are you going to write a story? If so, this is a nice plot. Two babies fathers must be different. The black baby's father is the black man and the white baby's father is the white man. Though the twins mother is the same woman. But they are step brother and sister. They title of the story can be "Mechanized Babies".

I have actually seen this happen before. Neighbors of ours a long time ago this happened to. It was a white couple and the woman was having an affair with a black male as well as sleeping with the husband. She got pregnant and had twins. One boy was white and the other boy was half white half black. She had alot of explaining to do to her husband and I believe they split up after that. As far as ordering sperm off of the internet I think that is very risky.

I think it is horrible, and an awful thing to do to a child. We have a massive problem with b*stard children growing up in screwed up homes without proper parents already, and here she purposefully created more? I would say it is rather selfish and irresponsible on her part.

It is new to me, that buying the sperm? and getting the pregnancy... Any ways after the children needs medical tests, after the test it will reveal that whose children they are black or white.

I guess the decision was there to make and they made it. As long as the children are loved and happy then good for them. When they get a lot older it would just have to be explained simply that they have different dads. Skin color doesn't matter they are both precious children who didn't ask to be brought into this world, nor did they choose their skin color. Therefore they shouldn't be treated badly or loved any less.

I think it really cheapens the goal and purpose of having a child. Women impregnate themselves, like cattle, with no relationship or love. Maybe a little sick.

I think if they are happy that's all that counts....sounds like a nice little family to me....I don't want to sit in judgement on anyone about how many kids they have or how they got them...
