Did you ever receive a flower while you were in jr. high or high school?

My schools always had carnations that they sold on valentine's day and what they called sweetest day. I always was quiet in school and I never received any flowers except once in high school I bought a red carnation from a guy that I had a crush on and I had it sent to myself. In college, I did receive one red rose from a secret admirer although I never did find out who it was from. Now that I am married, my husband buys me flowers from time to time. I enjoy them, but I wish they would not die. I put fake ones in the mother's day flower pots that my son makes me because I think his feelings would be hurt if he knew the flowers he planted me died, but they never seem to last long.
