Sometimes I am in a dilemmma. --Nothing personal --Nothing business worth millions -- I am in a dilemma not being able to decide whether I should comment on discussions started by others in the early stages or in the latter stages. It is because for want of time I could not attend discussions for a week. Now today when I went and checked up to post my comments I found in a row two discussions had been deleted. I was patting me for delaying my comments. But personally I prefer to answer immediately. Yes I go to home page and find what is the item that appears recently and I will post first comment. How do you take commenting on mylot discussions --of course I am talking about topics on which we have a keen interest.

ravisivan hi when ever I see something that interests me in anothers discussions I response to them. for me the word comment is only used when I commemt back on others responses to my own discussion. here we all misuse the words comment and respond. respond means we make responses to others discussions, the word comment is when we comment back on responses to our own discussions or we comment on others comments. there is definitely different meanings to each word if used as mylot adins uses them. it just helps to make things a bit clearer to me.

madam: thanks for clarifying. What I post in others discussion is response. What i write in reply to the response of others in my discussion is comments. is it right. thanks madam. good day.

Hi Ravisivan Generally I go to my email address and view any comments to previous responses first. Then I will respond to any and all discussions that interests me where I can apply some helpful and useful responses to. It may be from friends discussions as well as non-listed friends too. It is really if the discussion interests me and if I can be helfpul.

This is a nice way. But most of the times I am tempted to look at home page and find which discussion has started just now and answer that for the thrill of being the first comment. interesting. good day.

Well, there are many times for me, it depends on the amount of time I have to be spending in here, or if it is from a discussion that a friend has started in here, etc. I know many times it might be a week or so after a discussion is started that I get back to being able to respond back to it. And hey, if I respond back to a discussion and it ends up getting removed, that is OK and bound to happen. Even happens with ones I start from time to time. Just part of the process, and I continue to post from there always hoping for the Best.

good. u do not mind about response being removed since the discussion itself is removed. this is a good idea. i know u continue posting without worrying about outcome. Hope u are keeping good health.

Hello ravisivan, If I have started one or two discussion within short span of time I usually start commenting back those responses. I do so because you you leave to comment back them later either you lose interest or the true meaning of discussion fades away. By doing so I do two works at a time like the responses I get drop at a slow pace and by the time I have three responses on my posts I respond discussions started by other mylotter regardless to who started the them. And I am particular about one thing is that I just do not stick to the friends' started post. If I feel interesting and I can well contribute to it let the starter be anybody.

I try and respond as much as I can. Especially when it interests me. I am busy starting my own discussions of course so I tend to those intently. I respond as soon as possible. I try not to delay if I can help it. Not to mention it keeps the process going. It's like I want to give back in a way. I have people that answer my stuff so I want to do the same also. Give and receive. That is the way it is for me. I love to respond and interact here. This has been a wonderful experience for me. So I do it freely without complaint and without thinking about it. I am getting better and better each day!

Yes it does, but that is the concept here. Nothing good "EVER" comes from rushing. I had to learn this the hard way. I know we are hurried to make our pennies and do what we have to do in our own lives, but the value and art in taking out the time and care in any situation is more beneficial in the long run. Valuable relationships. People you can count on. These things are not built in one day. I don't simply respond because others are responding although I believe in the art of giving back to the thing that has given to me. I more respond because I'm interested enough to do so. The concept works if you work the concept! Happy my Lotting!

Hi rav! I was wondering what kind of dilemma you're talking about! I prefer answering immediately, of course. But I prefer answering new ones created by my friends. So I don't go to my homepage, instead I check the notifications I receive from MyLot. There are many times that I'm days late in responding to a new topic (like this one right here). But that's fine, as long as I find the topic interesting, I'll visit and comment on those posts!

I don't answer to suspicious topics anymore. They may be deleted anytime and we don't want that, right? I think we're safe to answer the safe topics whether immediately or an a later date. Which ever works! hihihi...

dilemma was about our answering discussions and many of them get deleted for various reasons - original discussion itself deleted. so i thought it may be better to wait for two days and then answer so that the discussion and responses are safe. FUN. good day.

I usually post comments selectively when I go through my e-mail inbox. Mylot sent my daily digest, but I selectively choose the ones I want to respond from each digest. Lots of time, I ended being a person after many people have already put their comments.

When I find a topic that catches my attention, I just respond to it right away as soon as I can (as soon as I have some free time to be more precise). I don't find much difference in beinge the first or the last in respond, as long as my response was posted and available for everyone. Even if a post or whole discussion is deleted, all answers are deleted too, again there is no difference. One thing only, being THE first of responding has some special feeling doesn't it?

u have understood it in full perspective. u have elaborated it fully. u do not bother whether it is deleted or not. that is a good stand.

I respond to the ones I receive by e-mail first and then I start looking through the list of discussions and respond to the ones I find interesting. I go by the titles. If the title catches my eye, I read the topic and then respond. Best Wishes!

HI Sir I in view when you find the you can give your response. It should not be time bounden. I don't think that if we response early or lately, effect our rating or earning. So don't worry keep taking part in discussion.

Hi Ravi, I comment the discussions that my friends have started. For example this one. I've knowledge about them because the emails I'm getting by MyLot. Also I go to the home page and choose some discussions, where I can comment. Further I've commented some past discussions and also I got response. Until now I got two comments deleted.

I also have the same experience. But in my view we don't have to wait to enter a discussion, because if we know what type of questions we can post then we should also know the same with answering questions.

good. u seem to understand easily though u r new to this forum. The point I was raising was -- our response is within guidelines -- discussion topic/subject is out of guidelines then the whole lot is deleted.

Thank u for your support. But i think i answered the same question. You should only answer to a discussion that you think within the guidelines. And, surely still there is a possibility of forgetting the thing, that we can't change...It happens..

Hi ravisivan: That'sinteresting. I actually don't have this dilemma, I basically answer the discussions that I feelinterested for when I found them no matter if they have a few or lot of responses or even if I am the first person to answer this discussion. I think actually this doesn't matter. What should matters is the quality of your response and to give a good answer according to the expectations of the topic starter and your thoughts on this subject and of course the Guidelines. ALVARO

I could follow. In spite of the fact ur answer is within the guidelines, where the discussion itself is out of guidelines it is deleted as a whole and hence ur response also be will be deleted.

Title of the post is the basic thing which catch the responses most of the time that I learnt during working on mylot and that's why I always try to focus on my titles more than text or you can say more time thinking about title of the post. I write the story or article first after proof reading I spent more time for choosing real suitable title after it is the selling point. cheers :D

I comment on discussions and respond to comments only when necessary. If I have nothing good to say, I prefer to just keep my thoughts to myself and I keep an eye on my choices of words. I don't want to hurt others here. :)
