I have often wondered if bath water and water from the washing machine would kill plants....so far so good but maybe there is a limit.

no it doesnt weve been doing it for 5 years now and the bleech and stuff does nothin. we use that water on fruit trees veggie plants and flowers and grass it doesnt kill them. but on the grass you might also need to feed it to have green grass. which im looking into for home.

Yes you are doing your bit, I have buckets near every tap and that is the only water I use for my garden. so we are good people doing a small bit.

We do not have house plants or anything, but if we did, your Idea is awesome. But I don't think we really have much Water dripping problem here where we live now.

hello, its not a case of dripping taps but I have found that just to wash your hands couple of times can almost fill a bucket, water is so precious at the moment every little bit helps I think.

I have read that if you put a brick in your toilet tank it saves water. Also I found his website that has some tips on it: http://www.americanwater.com/49ways.htm

My husband is from Malta they know how to conserve water as their only water supply is desalinated some very lucky families like hubby's have their own well. They reuse the water 2 or 3 times. They wash 2 or more loads in the same water depending on how dirty the clothes are ,they use the rinse water to wash clothes also the wash or rinse water is used to wash the floors,Bath water is used to wash the car or courtyard or porches .All used water goes on the garden .I haven't been over there for about 8 or so years so i forget all the water saving ideas but not a drop is wasted . It sounds like hard work but it is just part of life over there and second nature
