United States and Israel not much changes in over 2700 years

There were two kingdoms that claimed they loved God, Israel and Judah, God got fed up with them both because they did things which he didn't like. These things are: not keeping the sabbath, worshiping Idols (even witchcraft), child sacrifice (abortion), not strengthening the poor and needy.
While I admit (in my opinion anyways) that Israel has done a much better job at the first two than the Untied States has they still aren't up to par. The third one however is atrocious and breaks my heart that our modern cultures don't recognize that what they do today is no better than what was done over 2700 years ago. Of course the last one is horrid also, the poverty level in Israel is around 25% and of course in America nearly 2 million homes were foreclosed on last year.
So what can we expect if things keep going the way they are and get any worse?

I really disagree with your point of view. Christianity is a very new religion comparatively and I find it funny that you shun witchcraft since Christianity stole the Pagan calendar.
If God is all-forgiving, then He wouldn't get "fed up" with anyone, especially after have given them free will.
The US and Israel are not the only countries with problems. The entire world has problems. Don't blame God or Godlessness. Judging others isn't exactly righteous either, so I don't know why you want to act like you have all the answers.

"I really disagree with your point of view. Christianity is a very new religion comparatively and I find it funny that you shun witchcraft since Christianity stole the Pagan calendar. " - the biggest problem is that it has become diluted and mixed with paganism thanks to the catholic church.
"If God is all-forgiving, then He wouldn't get "fed up" with anyone, especially after have given them free will. " - I am assuming that you had parents and that at least once they did discipline you (I could be wrong), than you should understand the concept.
"Judging others isn't exactly righteous either, so I don't know why you want to act like you have all the answers." - Actually that is exactly what Jesus said "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.". That means by God's standards not our modern culture that tells you should never speak out against anything that is wrong.

Paganism predates Christianity and if you were educated on the religion and looked at the two side by side you'd see that there are many, many similarities. It's more than just the calendar. It is not because of the Catholic church.
Yes, my parents have disciplined me before, but they are not the ones who gave me free will and they are also not "all-forgiving". Plus, they wouldn't punish me for being myself if I dress a certain way, fail to worship them, or were gay. They cannot see the future as God supposedly can and so they do not know what I am going to do before I do it. They also did not put me in unfair circumstances and expect me to live up to the same standards as those who were not.
I have no problem with speaking out against that which is wrong, but just because someone's beliefs conflict with your own doesn't make them wrong.
And there's a big difference between being against abortions and standing outside of abortion clinics yelling at all those who enter regardless of the fact of not knowing why they are even there. There's a big difference between having a different view as someone and maliciously attacking people with differing views. I don't know how anyone could claim that that behavior is "righteous".

"Paganism predates Christianity and if you were educated on the religion and looked at the two side by side you'd see that there are many, many similarities. It's more than just the calendar. It is not because of the Catholic church." - *sighs* You do know that the original churches before the council of Nicaea based their calendars of off the Hebrew calendar which started the first month of the year to coincide with passover (month of the abib). The other similarities were because Constantine switched from paganism to Christianity, read up on how Diana was replaced by the virgin Mary. As for being educated on the subject I have read various books by Aliester Crowley, Anton LeVey and quite a few others so exactly what do you think I am missing out on?
"They also did not put me in unfair circumstances and expect me to live up to the same standards as those who were not. " - not much unfair about telling someone not to burn their children in fires and than punishing them for it. But I guess that is just my opinion.
"And there's a big difference between being against abortions and standing outside of abortion clinics yelling at all those who enter regardless of the fact of not knowing why they are even there. There's a big difference between having a different view as someone and maliciously attacking people with differing views. I don't know how anyone could claim that that behavior is "righteous". " - Well we do have this thing called freedom of speech and as much as I disagree with churches like Westboro Baptist Church I fully support their right to do so. In fact it is pretty much the same for those who have gay pride parades that is still part of free speech. I don't see how shouting out to everyone that they are proud because they sleep with someone as being "pride" but hey that is also their rights. All this seems to be going way off subject and just getting into your opinion of what you don't like about Christianity.
Is there anything you would like to add that is on subject?
