Below is a link to the most amazing Humpback Whale rescue you will ever see and she even "thanked" the kind-hearted humans afterwards. Awesome stuff. Apologies if you have already seen this. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/07/14/humpback-whale-video_n_898859.html

Yes, the sea in that part of the world seems to clear and blue. I always find it's strange to find something bad that is happening like the whale getting all caught up like that, but I guess that clear, clean water is no protection for anything. At least the fishing line could be seen, not like some of the waters I have seen around the UK. _Derek

Gorgeous isn't it? Certainly put a smile on my face, I can tell you. I couldn't believe my eyes when they showed it on Sky News (it was really late on though) and it reminded me of ITN..they used to have a segment like that every night but stopped it from what I can gather. I'm so pleased the whale is now free and did you see how blue the sea was? Gorgeous!

Wow! What an incredible video. How amazing (and frightening) would that experience have been! I loved the way the whale put on a show for it's rescuers afterwards. What an awesome display! Yes, I am alright! The coding on Facebook is obviously different to here as that looks a lot different here. It is missing lots of hearts! I have an awesome big framed photo of a humpback launching itself out of the water which was taken an hour south of me at Byron Bay. The shape of the whale with it's body and head seem to be mimicking the mountain in the background as the angle is perfect that it looks the same almost. I hope you can picture that!

Are you alright? Haha! Only joking. I wish there were "segments" like that on the news every night, I really do. I loved the whale putting on the display too. Such an awesome sight. No wonder the guys couldn't stop smiling.

I don't ordinarily forward emails. I know how much I hate to get them. But I received that video via email last week and just had to share it with some of my online friends. It is just amazing. Whales' brains are so large in proportion to body size that they may be more intelligent than man. Wouldn't that be something? Maybe someday we'll learn to talk with them. This one seemed to do very well with making her thoughts known.

She brought tears to my eyes, she was so awesome, so it must've been amazing to be so close to her like those rescuers. They only had one thing on their minds..to rescue her and she was so grateful she put on a show for them. Beautiful for all concerned.

Wow what a nice video. I see how much they cared for the whale. I could hear how the whale was making sounds almost as if it was frightened. Such bravery for them to have taken the risk. But I could see how caring and happy they were to free him from the netting.

I love whales anyway so to see one freed like that (happy outcome for once) was a joy to behold.

Every time,I am filled with excitement beyond description, when I see such scenes where people save the animal in danger on TV,such as Humpback whale rescue that you recommend it to us, Emperor Penguin mentioned earlier, Tibetan antelope as well as healing a little elephant that was injured in the south of China recently. We should have done so long ago.we lose count of how many Endangered Species have become extinct.

I always believe that Good overcomes Evil, I really do..and those whale rescuers prove my point. You are right, though, we're leaving it a bit late to save animals that are endangered.

Omg thank you so much for the share. I really loved it and I feel so warm inside And yes some people can be so good and brave too. They saved a life of a whale while they knew it was a dangerous task. I don't know if i would have been able to do that but hats off to them. Highly appreciated

I know what you mean, I guess it could be quite dangerous to get in there, armed with only a small knife. I'm not a good swimmer myself (certainly hopeless at diving) so I would hope someone was on the boat with me that could do all those things. I'd supervise and give loads of encouragement! Well done to those guys though. It's all on film too so they can watch it whenever they like. Awesome!

Oh yes, they did just have a small knife too And I'm a lousy swimmer myself, actually, I can't swim at all

Nice video. These whales are amusing maybe they permanently got that impression of being childish that's why people are usually light-hearted seeing it. It's great to know that people still care for animals, nevertheless.

It certainly cheered me up..the poor thing would've drowned if those people hadn't realised she was stuck in netting. Glad she's free now.

I couldn't believe they showed it on Sky News, to be honest. They do have their moments though and I'm glad they showed it when they did as the newsreader certainly had a smile on her face after the whale was shown..so did I. Brought tears of joy actually as I thought the whole scenario was so sweet.
