I just received an email stating that I applied to Google. But I cannot remember that I send a resume to them. I wonder if someone phishing out on me. I almost open the attached zip file. Here's the actual email I received. We just received your resume and would like to thank you for your interest in working at Google. This email confirms that your application has been submitted for an open position. Our staffing team will carefully assess your qualifications for the role(s) you selected and others that may be a fit. Should there be a suitable match, we will be sure to get in touch with you. Click on the attached file to review your submitted application. Have fun and thanks again for applying to Google! Google Staffing I wonder if someone here in mylot already encounter this kind of scenario?

you would know if you sent an application right? scammers and spammers would do anything to commit fraud. i wonder if these guys have also been spammed themselves. I hope someone gives them a taste of their own medicine and probably they'll stop

And i think no one can give them the taste of their own medicine because if someone tries to do so,they will get to know from before and make themselves alert as they are totally experienced in this field.

This is certainly a phishing, because a real company has more diplomatic ways of contacting a candidate which was selected to be an employee and they would even phone you. So ignore this message, or double check it if you want, but I am sure it is not real.

Cue Monty python theme ... Spam spam spam spam, spam spam spam spam (etc etc). Similar thing happened to me a while back - Paypal Good way to check if it's genuine is to see if your name is at the top of the post - your REAL name, not the one you use to log in to sites. If it's "Dear user" or similar, it's spam. Not always reliable, but as these are sent out to hundreds of email accounts via malware, it's unlikely they'll bother to personalize each one. Also, checkout the sender address. These useless halfwits invariably use a free posting service! You'll find these alongside the "Dear Friend, we have $$$m to send to you by Fedex" messages. Know what I love doing? Copying the messages in full, then posting them to each other, complete with attachments if possible! Whiled away many a long winter night like that ...
