Is reservation in any for is bane or boom for India

recently saw a trailer of new movie "Aarksan" produced and directed by prakash jha which made think does India really need reservation
First there was caste based, then minority religion now gender based
Do we really need it
India Constitution say we believe in One India and need only to be an Indian
then why these reservation
What do you think ?

Yes, there is a need for reservation. If we go to rural areas, people do really need reservation. Those who argue against reservation must be those living in cities who are not exposed what is happening in the rural areas. And those in the rural areas are like that because of the Govt's policy or lack thereof. They don't become like that by choice. So Govt has to provide reservation.
