good evening dear users, something is very confusing me, is it because of economy that people are hunting for extra money or is the human nature to try to get more and more, cause i ve never heard of some one saying that they have enough money, or they don't want more money...

I think man's need for money is insatiable because mans need per se is insatiable. Bad economy, good economy, regardless what economy may be, we are all in search for something 'better'.
However, when there's bad economy, we are desperately looking for something to at least be a safety net should hell break loose and we lost our jobs or sources of funds. I think in bad economy conditions, people are more of 'panicking' for some source of 'confidence' that they won't need to let go of their lifestyle - thus a more need for other sources of income or a bigger source.
I don't think it's purely 'economy' that dictates people to search for more money or to let loose. I live in a third world country but in my hometown, people are more relaxed. People there are not 'in a rush' to look for sources of funds. On the other hand, in the other part of my country, people are working like crazy in the rat race.
In the two scenarios I have shown you, they both have the same 'economy' because they're in the same country, but their attitude towards economy is far different. The other is running after what they can collect, while the other is loosely relaxed. Why? I think it's perspective. The more we are shown things that we think we need, the more we like our lifestyles to be 'better' the more money we need. However, if we don't really see the point in all of those, when our neighbors are who they are and how they are several years ago, then we don't really feel the need to do something about our 'situation'.
I think envy and jealousy motivates us to look for more. We keep comparing ourselves with what our neighbors have and we'd end up killing ourselves in order to be 'better' than them. And all the while, they're not doing anything because they're just lucky to have those things at minimal effort.
It's crazy.
I honestly think that it's "US" who's killing ourselves. But of course, that's human nature. We'd always want to have the 'best' for our families. But perhaps if he just stop and look at what's necessary, then we wouldn't need to work so hard.
But still, it's more difficult to walk the talk than just say it. We are built to want 'more'.

Do you know the Parkinson's Law? That expenses always rise to meet income? That's the very reason why people are always on the search for more money. No matter how much money you make, it is always lacking and you always have to earn more because naturally expenses will rise in parallel with increased income.

I think that people always want more money, but for most it is just an afterthought or wishful thinking. They have enough to survive on...but it is more apparent that people need extra, or any money with the economic downturn. People who had steady income all of a sudden had none and needed something, both to occupy their time and to have something to buy food with.
