Manual vs Electric

which toothbrush do you prefer? now i have to say i have only ever had one electric toothbrush and while it did the same minty fresh job as the manual i found it strange and i didn't like it. it made my hand tingle after i used it, i found the little tiny head off putting, and didn't understand how just because it rotated round and round in circles, how it was managing to clean the same cirumference of my mouth as a large manual toothbrush could!.. is it really that much better? all these oral b adverts have me sort of looking at my own toothbrush [when i'm in the bathroom, it doesn't sit in a vase in my living room or anything] and thinking, am i getting a good clean? does the brush really matter that much? or is it the toothpaste you are using? .. surely me being able to scrub really hard in whatever direction i choose, is better than holding this little brush and waiting for it to do its job..? manual or electric people?
