I think he left Italy because he was offered more money by Galatasaray;after all,Galata is a big club and after a few very disappointing season they want to get back to the top of the Turkish league.Anyway,he didn't leave to play in an Arab country,he still plays in a relatively competitive league and if everything goes well and Galata builds a strong team and has good results he will probably play for one of Europe's biggest clubs in a few years.

I think that he was not that requested before the Copa America started. Also, I believe this decision of him was because of the money too.
I don't know how much money that Galatasaray offered to Muslera, but I'm pretty sure that is value that is difficult to say no.
I remember that Elano (the midfielder of Brazil's team) spent some seasons on this team too and he said that he could not refuse their offer because with the money, he could solve all his family money problems.

A little bit OOT, just wondering, how come two main goalkeepers of the capital city team of Italy, left for their old club at the same time?
(I mean Doni left Roma and Muslera left Lazio)
Well, nothing need to be discussed about it, anyway :D
About Muslera, i still think that money is one of his reason.
Well, who knows the real answer?

First of all, Fenerbahce is doing better recently in Turkish league than Galatasaray. As for the atmosphere created by the fans, there are very few leagues which have better atmosphere than in Turkey, where the fans are tremendous.
But, after the match fixing scandals, it is hard to understand why would somebody go from Lazio to Galatasaray.
