Ok So I am working on a Facebook page OKCAC Oklahoma Citizens against Crime. I went to the jail roster of the county I reside in. I wanted to see how may inmates arrested this month that are still in jail were arrested for a drug offense. Curiosity! The roster has three columns one with the inmate number? their name and arrest date. I began to click on the ones for July 2011 and open into a new tab. Doing in a group I figured would be a little quicker??? Needless to say I was banned. I tried to explin it to the IT person exactly what I was doing but they mis-interrupted the date thing. I sent a reply explaining better as to what and why I was opening these windows on the inmates. NO REPLY. There is also a link they give you if you want to update information etc. The link does not work. I guess I am blacklisted??? LOL Which only tells me more that they don't want the information of statistics shared. I wrote to one of the staff writers for the town Newspaper as well and told him what happened and if he knew of a better place, person etc to gather statistics on drug arrests. ALSO NO Answer. I cannot cut and paste their reply because I have not had 500 postings yet. GRRRRR However I have posted it to my blog fosterok.wordpress.com Would it do any good for me to contact my DSL provider and have my IP adress changed? Anyone have/had any dealings with Justice Software, Inc.? Not that it is a total big deal I guess it feels more like a strike into my character and that hacks me off.

While some info on inmates is viewable to the public, there are some things that are restricted. You should respect it, and realize that if you were banned there was a good reason for it. After all, the inmates have a right to security and privicey while behind bars. It's a way to prevent exploytation. My only suggestion to you would be to look up someone you know who was recently arrested and see if you can visit them. Mind you, they have a right to deny you, but that's probably the only way to get that information legeally.

I don't know much about the justice software thing, I just want you to know that certain government info won't be share, unless you are a legal authorized person, or you have the lawyer license and in request to make research on certain cases. For civilian, I don't know much about it, if you are an intern in studying cases, or else, they won't do you a favor.

Thanks for your input. I guess they only allow us civilians to look as a courtesy? When someone we know gets arrested? Crazy.
