Im pretty sure they would barely be a band. They would be playing in small nightclubs maybe occasionaly get a song on the radio. With Eddie Kendricks (an amazing singer) they did do fairly well but with out the voice of David Ruffin they would not have been as well know as they are today. I'm not saying that the other band members weren't good. I mean there would be no temptions without them. They were still great singers. But most of their top hits were sung by David Ruffin. To bad he had to become a coke addicted egotistical jerk. But still even then he was great.
