I have an electric stove. And I need help in cleaning the stovetop burners. I am actually talking about the drip plates underneath. I believe that they are aluminum. The stove is old and these drip plates have stains and spots on them. Is there any way to get them shiny clean?
I have tried a lot of different products. They look better but there are still stains and spots. Is it even possible to get them shiny clean at this point?

I have not tried oven cleaner yet. The other products I have tried. Oven cleaner is a little strong but I may try it in the future. Thanks for your tip.

Hope it works out for you.I don't like the smell either. After spraying them down with the cleaner, put them in a bag and close it up for awhile and let it soak really good.As for the smell, you can take the bag outside and open it.Maybe have a pan of water out there and rinse off.Good luck.

OK. I will try it next time I do a thorough house cleaning. I am going to Denver next week and did a lot of cleaning before my trip.
After I return, I will try the oven cleaner. I hate using oven cleaner because of its so strong and overwhelming. Whatever is in it, I do not like it. But if it does the trick .....
Thanks for the feedback.
