Ind-England 2011: Test 1; Day 1 Eng - 127/2 what's say?

With all the numbers behind (that includes 2000th test match in all, 100th between India and England, expectantly the one in which Sachin gets his 100th 100) players took the field and played the game we all were waiting for.
I'll say it is even at this stage. 30 runs more and it would have been England's day and one wicket more would have had India in the driver's seat. Though, if Zaheer's fitness issue is serious, India is on the loosing note. Among all the mini battles, Zaheer won the first one getting both the left hand opening batsman out. A lot of time has been lost as well.
What's your take on the days play?

No offense! But this means absolutely nothing to me. I can make heads nor tales of what you are talking about. I'm assuming of sports score of some kind. I hope your team wins(won). See I really don't even know if the games is continuing or if it's over. Best Wishes!

Hi Raj_gupta,
Its all for Sachin. Are all the players in the squad playing to fetch a century for him? If so, it would heighten the morale of the rest of the playing eleven.
Now as England have lost the openers they still have some threatening batsman. This is just the first day of the first test.
Lets wait and see things unwinding.

Anyways, back to the cricket now...
Well with almost half of the first day lost to bad weather conditions and rain predicted for 3 days of the 4 left, I won't complain if this test is "used" by India to help Sachin get that hundred. A huge monkey will be off his back and we will see a team playing for win rather then anything else from there on.

Test match means, it should mainly depends on bowling also. Our problem is bowling, we have no effective fast bowlers, spin is our strength.

Sad that we had play interrupted due to rain on the first day of the first test match between India and England. Just under 50 overs were possible and England did well to manage 127 for the loss of 2 wickets. With this score England definately have a slight advantage over India considering the conditions and having been put into bat by India. Had India got trott earlier by making the most of the opportunities that came their way, may be they could have been in a better position to put more pressure on England.
The fitness over Zaheer Khan is a big question mark and Dhoni will feel a bit of the pressure having lost his main strike bowler. India will hope that it is not something very serious and will hope that he is fit to go at the English batsmen in the second innings..
