When making brownies do you let the brownies cool off before cuttng them or do you cut them while they are still hot. This would include home made and from the box. I have made some with walnuts and they look so yummy I just want to eat them now.

Are you kidding? They are cut almost right after being taken out of the oven... We might wait a few minutes to let them cool down before we eat them, but they are automatically cut so they're ready for the grabbing! lol. We rarely make sweets, so when we do....

LOL. I'm with you SomeCowgirl. I don't think I ever waited for a brownie to cool. It's an impossibility. I can't resist a warm out of the oven brownie!

When making brownies either boxed or homemade I always let them cool before I cut them.I find if you cut them to soon which I have done before they fall apart. I am like you when I make something and it looks so yummy I want to eat it right away.

That sounds like something my husband would do is laugh at me because I could not wait. What makes it even harder for me is I also like to eat the batter as well I do it with just about everything I make except for pancakes of course.

I know what you mean I want to just dig right in. It is rather hard to wait. I did wait, but I picked at the brownies and my hubby was just laughing the whole time. Then I caught him doing the exact same thing. Baked goods are just too hard to resist.

I allow it to settle and cool off. It cuts well making definitive shapes. BTW, I am craving walnut brownies. Lucky you!

Hi, catof1. It is always better to let the brownies cool off first. I always let my chocolate chip cookies, and pizza cool off on the oven before I start to cut it in square wedges. I also do this with my muffin bread too. If you cut it while it is hot, it may become very messy and it will crumble quicker too.

I always let them cool a little first. I find this allows them time to harden and so are less gooey and won't fall apart when you take them out of the pan. 10 or 15 minutes is usually long enough for them to firm up. Enjoy your brownies, wish i had some ¬¬ Birdie -

If you cut them while they are too warm, they will fall flat a bit. It is best to wait. But I feel your pain girl! mmmmmm.....brownies fresh made straight from the oven. mmmmmmmmm........

My husband only likes to eat them when they are warm and so we always cut them while they are still warm. They usually will fall apart, but he doesn't mind that. I always put walnuts in his too, but I don't like walnuts so I always make a plain batch too.

I'd like to say that I let them cool.. as that is what the directions say to do. But Honestly who can resist that chocolaty smell wafting throughout the house? I can't. They don't get very long "Cooling Time" in my house.. lol. I love a nice WARM MOIST Melty brownie... mmmm. now you've gone and got me hungry. :)
