For the last couple of days, I'm training myself to eat less. I'm cutting back on food and doing extra time in the gym because I've set a goal to reach 50kg in 4 weeks. Anyway, I think things are starting to pay off since I'm noticing that I already feel full after eating just a banana for breakfast. I don't feel hungry at all. My next meal would be lunchtime. Yay! And yes, I drink a lot of water in between.hihihi... I like the feeling! Anyway, how heavy or light is your breakfast everyday? Do share!

I'm not really a breakfast eater...I do have a mid-morning snack & lately that has been a sausage roll & chocolate milk (real healthy I know ) & that will do me until lunch or dinner...I really only eat when I'm hungry...today, I didn't eat until lunch time & that was some Thai steamed wontons & some Singapore noodles from my local That restaurant (I am friends with the owner lol).

I'm not in a rush. I'll get there somehow! If I don't reach 50k this week, my fourth week; I'll still continue my regimen until I reach it! If you eat a lot of bananas, you'll surely gain weight yugasini. 1 medium-sized banana may content at least 100 calories. That's a lot if you eat bananas after your regular meals.

I ever tried eating fruit for breakfast and didn't feel comfort about it. It makes me feel easily tired. I don't know whether you do feels that way. As for me, i cut-down on my eating on biscuits and cakes in between my meals. Now, i fill the gap in between my lunch and dinner with eating lots of fruits. I just started to practice this new method of eating, a few days ago. I planned to weight myself in a week time, to see how much i had reduce my weight. Wish both of us, good luck...

Thanks for explaining in more details. Seems like, it takes time to be able to get familiar with this new habit of eating. I had forgotten that you are already in your 4th week of diet, no wonder you are used to it now. I had weighted myself and happy to see some reduction in my weight, although just a little bit.

Hi myfb! I think I know what you're going to. If you say you have just started changing your habits, your body must still be coping with the change. That's fine. What you should do is to lessen your food intake slowly. Don't do it all at once or your body will suffer. As for me, I trained myself to eat less and less caloric foods each day. Remember, I'm on my 4th week of diet and it's only on this week that I felt fine eating just the banana for breakfast. Don't rush yourself. I suggest you start substituting foods you normally eat with low calorie foods. For breakfast for instance, oatmeal and banana would be a good start.

hi beingwell! i guess you're living up to your handle name eh? well, good for you. i'm also in the process of losing weight and i'm very glad that the weight loss is noticeable nowadays as i've heard a lot of comments from my friends and colleagues that i have indeed lose weight. breakfast is the one meal that i consider the most important so i try to have a hearty but healthy breakfast. i would usually have two apples plus a glass of pineapple juice. sometimes, i'd have wheat bread and canned tuna in water. if i knew that it'll be a busy day at work, i try to eat a cup of rice and canned tuna in water. i can never eat banana. never! anyway, do keep us posted about your weight loss. hopefully you hit your goal. i'm four pounds away from my ideal weight but i won't stop there. i would like to lose an additional ten more pounds after hitting my ideal weight.

I too have been training myself to eat less. So far I have lost almost 20 lbs. I also have become more aware of what a serving size really should be and how many calories & fat are in a serving. I did not realize that the glasses of milk I was drinking in a day equaled almost 500 calories alone. And each cup of milk was 24 grams of sugar too!!! I try to drink alot of water too. I always have drank water though so that isn't too hard for me to do. My breakfasts are about 300 calories at the most. Usually 200 calories. Good Luck reaching your goal.

Banana has a rich amount of carbohydrates than any other fruits. Carbohydrates could be converted to sugar and sugar can make you feel full. It has also good content of of potassium which is essential to our muscles. However, banana is not recommended to a person who is diabetic and it is not also recommended to be included in the diet.

You are so lucky I can't eat much fruits and at morning they actually make me sick, I'm trying to break them into juice but I know it's not the same. Plus one banana already makes you full that's good for diet. Talking about bananas I just made a cake that turned out to be more like bread, it's not because it's Vegan but because I didn't use any recipe, hahaha, I wanted to 'feel' the dough turning to a cake and I mess it up, and also ate a whole banana with chocolate (only way I can eat fruits) in yesterday's afternoon as snack. I realize that if I put the banana right there, when I'm craving I'll go for it.

What an adventure katie! That's fine even if things don't go as you plan. The important thing is the experience and fun you make out of it! Anyway, I'm so into bananas right now that I bought another bunch just now.hahahah

Hi mate, may I know how many kgs your target in 4 weeks? I think you will achieve target if only 4-5 kgs but more than that will need extra works. Not only by controlling your eating but also doing proper exercise..Actually,eating breakfast is required to build up our energy as foundation for our activities all day long..However, that's also the good target if you want to reduce your weight besides dinner. Only lunch should be taken as normal. You still can eat low calories snack in between if you feel hungry anyway..I have taken heavy breakfast all my life and maintain weight since I am active person and enjoy exercise routinely twice in a week. How about you?

Hi omche. I've been hearing that 4-5 kg weight lose is easy to do. Maybe for most of you; but for me, this is really a challenge. I've already lost 3kgs in 3wks and I need 2 more this week. I constantly exercise, at least an hour a day and I'm very conscious in what I eat. I adhere to healthy living. Thanks for your reply!

Well my breakfast depends on the food. If I like it, I eat pretty much. If I don't, I eat little or don't eat at all. I'm kinda picky. But good for you huh. I wish I could have discipline like yours. :)

beingwell I think that is wonderful how you can be full off of one banana in the morning. I wish I could do that and feel content. How do you do it? Is it just mind over matter. I could stand to loose a few pounds and for health reasons not just for outter appearance. My normal breakfast consist of one sausage egg biscuit, strawberries or some fruit. Coffee and maybe a piece of cheese.

Hi SK! Actually, I started to lessen food intake weeks before. I've also been training myself to drink 2 glasses of water each morning before I eat anything at all. Now, I'm able to control my food intake in the morning. Not only that, I also exercise 1-1.5 hours everyday. It helps my blood circulation and burn off the fats I ate the day before.

hi being well I have four ounces of orange juice and oatmeal with jilk plus an egg and some toast with lots of hot coffee. I am also cutting down on things during the day too. I also must lose weight too but I do not cut back much on breakfast as its so important to eat it each day and also as a diabetic I am on pills to cut back my blood sugar so if I eat too little I will have super low blood sugar and could pass out.so I just use common sense and try to cut out the things that are bad for me. good luck with your dieting and weight loss. lol

Good for you Hatley! Oatmeal is a really good options, then. My cousin's diabetic. Once he found out, he decided to lose the weight and cut back on his carbs. He's been walking and running until he got his sugar level to the right level. He did that in 2-3 months. He's still watching what he eat up to now which is good for him.
