News Headlines gone for good on MyLot?

When I ran a question about the news being missing off my start page I thought I was the only one. The responders pointed out I was not alone and it happened after some maintenance MyLot was running. The prevailing theory was the maintenance accidentally removed it.
It's been a few days now, perhaps MyLot removed it entirely as part of the maintenance? Is this true?
If so, was it because few people responded? Was it something to do with how they acquired the stories for posting? Or is it a conspiracy against me?
I like conspiracies. They are so much more common than mainstream thought wants us to believe. For instance, if two or more people decide something that affects another person or group without that person or group's knowledge, it's a conspiracy. People "conspire" to do things all the time. The delusion about conspiracies occurs when you begin to believe the conspiracy is only against you.
So welcome to my delusion. Whoever was in charge of the Headline News section was likely opposed to my snarky comments. That added to the low frequency of responses overall for the section must have doomed it.
I'll leave you to discuss this amongst yourselves so I can point out some more human idiocy somewhere.

Hi balthasar the rat: Yes I have noticed this today and I felt really surprise about this change on Mylot. In my case I really love the news section. That was a good way to know what was happening in the world in teh same site I use to participate but as you mentioned, I guess people where not participating enough, so if it's for a good reason I think Mylot have the right to make all the improvements they consider they must be taken.

No one really can answer this as no notification has come from myLot. All we can assume is that it was removed during the maintenance but no one really can say if it is coming back or not and or if this is permanent and or temporary because myLot has not made an announcement. I don't think it is a conspiracy against you and or anyone as no one knows the actual reasoning for the removal. Could be that whomever supplied it to myLot no longer is making it available. Of course just an assumption on my behalf.
All we can do is continue enjoying the site and if it returns we can be happier and if not we will have to accept that it is myLot decision and perhaps they have a reason for it's removal.
I would like it to return as I did enjoy reading the news their twice a day, and since it is not there I have gone back to my internet service provider news section to read it there.
