With a total lead of 193 runs and having 10 wickets in hand, England is in a great position in the first test at the end of day 3. Some how with 196 overs of play left, which some will say is a lot of cricket, I don't see England being able to force a result here with India's possibilities of having an upper hand diminished to minimal amounts now. All the analysis will go on, but one thing that I would like to say here is that I recalled a lesson from my English classes in primary schooling years when the teachers told us about synonyms. There is a synonym pair - Great and "Rahul Dravid"! He achieved the hundred that took 16 years coming. Salute to this guy. What's say?

hey Raj you seemed to be like the normal Indian guy whop always hopes that in any condition your country will somehow come out with flying colours. Well I wish them good luck as they really gonna need all the luck in the world to save this match from here on without Zaheer in the ranks and youngters not proving as per the need. Anyway kudos to Dravid the wall not just for being resilient but also for being silent all this years when all the major part of glory was taken away by others especially Sachin. India is really prowd to have you ( no offense to Sachin, he sure is great)

I am not saying that India is not in trouble here but don't know why, just felt that England won't be able to get them out second time around. Who knows what wil happen but till now...yes England are way ahead.

England have stretched their lead to 458 and have declared. India fought back brilliantly through Ishaant to leave England at 62/5 and 107/6, but lack of support at the other end meant that England got off the hook. Matt Prior cashed in with a century and Broad just continued his good match by notching up an unbeaten 50. He then came back to send Mukund back to the pavilion. India is currently 41-1 after 16 odd overs. Cheers! Ram

Hi Raj In my opinion, the number 1 ranked team in Test (India) will rose and roar in the 2nd Innings and they will definitely so why they are (Indians) is No.1 team. The reason for telling the above is because, my hope that little master and the wall and the cool captain and the unsung heroes will do their duty in 2nd innings. Let Us HOPE GOOD for TEAM INDIA

With two more days of play remaining one thing is sure, England is not gonna loose this test match. Now team India have to play well to save this test match. On the fourth day, I'm sure England will try to score some quick runs and put India under pressure. The result of the match completely depends on how Indian batsmen manage their pressure in the final day of the test match.

All eyes on Sachin Tendulkar only, we all are praying for him to complete his 100th century.

The only thing I am concerned about is India bowling, Harbhajan Singh should take rest for some time and Ashwin should given a chance in Indian team. Apart from that, other young Indian fact bowlers should be given a chance, when Indians where batting they were cautious because of the England bowling attack, however, England played freely. Players like Ishant Sharma doesn't have that attitude where he can play at International level and that is why he is not effective. Praveen kumar is another Indian spinner like Kumble. It's like high class batting side with gully cricket bowling.

England definitely has an upper hand in this match. if they set a target around 400 then india has to play out the whole overs left. say 4 sessions, thats enough for a good bowling attack to make a team all out. but we have dravid, laxman and sachin and we can depend a lot on these batsman and hope for a draw. Dravid once again showed that he is a class player, he once again saved india with a century in needed time. as Dravid played innings, I hope that Laxman will play in the second innings. and expect gautam gambir to play well.

India definately in deep trouble in the first test after day three against England. The Indians just managed 286 and gave the hosts a lead little less than 200. By doing so England have got complete control of the game and will look to put further pressure on India once day four commences. England can look to get some 200 more runs and that will force India to save the game from there on. The Indian tail did not last long enough and were bowled out quickly after the fall of teh sixth wicket. Dravid played well and got himself another century. The Indians should have played more attacking cricket rather than just block deliverys and slow the scoring rate. If they go for their shots at times, they will at least keep the score card ticking and the margin of difference would not have been so much. The Indians will definatly hoping for rain as an aid or else they will be starring at a big margin of defeat. I certainly expected a better performance from India and they have just not lived up to the expectation..

India is in danger buddy. I can see there is no way to win this match for India. If they will bat well next time, then it is possible to draw the match. English batsmen are in great form. So, they will try to do big score and put pressure on India. You know that its very hard to bat on 5th day of a test match. Indian batsman are very uneasy to play in bouncy pitch. So, big task is coming for Indian batsmen to prove themselves as batsmen a NO 1 team in the world.
