My aunt addicted to computer games

Lately, my cousin bought an Ipad from Amazon, and she gave it to my aunt as her birthday gift. She loves this gadget, because she can carry anywhere with her, to picnic, to a trip. Now, she is taking ipad with her anywhere she goes. Yesterday, our family get together at my uncle house for barbecue, my aunt spent the whole time playing with her Ipad, from what I saw, she was so addicted to those computer games, and she was nonstop. She didn't even care about the food when it was ready. She was just like a teenage girl, even worse than my younger cousin. As you can see the power of computer, it would make a person addictive.

It is so very easy to get hooked on the online games. They are a lot of fun. Sorry it is such a problem for her.

My mom is addicted to online games. I'm not sure if she is as addicted as your aunt since her only means of playing is through her desktop and laptop. Whenever we ask my mom why she loves online games, she will always tell us that they never had a chance to enjoy them when they were younger since internet was not yet invented back then :)

In fact the games can be very addictive, even for an adult. It is very interesting to know how much your aunt likes the iPad. I think I will also like it, too:) We are all like children who will never grow up:) Stay young:) I love China

I have to agree with all the other comments, I think your Aunt is just enjoying a new toy and playing with it. After all with all do, you get something new and you use it all the time and then the novelty slowly begins to wear off.

You've also got to take into consideration that when people get a new item they really like to spend time playing around with it. It could be that she'll soon stop using it as often and then maybe one day she won't use it at all. I'd let her enjoy the games for awhile, I think she'll eventually stop being so addicted. Or maybe show her other ways to use the Ipad, she may find it a bit more intriguing yet.

It sounds that your aunt is really hooked up with that gadget. Do you not think it is the first happiness for having a new portable gadget? Some people seem to be addicated to new items the first weeks, then they get used to it and can let go of it to spend time with loved ones and do ordinary things as usual. It is just my speculation.

Ahaha! Cool! If I may ask, how young is she? I bet she's around 40-50 or older 'cause she alreay has a kid who is capable of buying gadgets through online shops. Anyway, just let her enjoy her moment with her iPad and playing computer games. Time will pass and she will surely won't mind those things at all. Maybe she just misses her childhood when she can play all the time. It may not be normal, as you mentioned "she didn't mind the foods" but I'm pretty sure she's matured enough and can handle it. :D

Ah yes, I do agree with that. My mom, who is 62 years old, just discovered the joys of having a Facebook account, and is now very addicted to it. I guess whatever's our age, discovering something new is something that would really excite us.

Sounds like she got a really fun gift. I'm sure she will slow down and play less eventually. I'm sure she thinks the games are pretty cool if she is spending that much time on it. I kinda want an iPad, but I can just play games on my PC.

So peoples like them who are really interested in computer games. But sometimes it can be make problem when person play 24 hours only game and only game. This can be harm for their health.

Now thats cool. I know if I had an iPad, I would take it everywhere I go myself. I would be spending time here in MyLot right from my iPad. I do have an iPhone and I use that all over. But, if that makes your aunt feel good, then let her have her fun.
