Does anyone tried to visit or even signe-up with ODESK.COM?

After several hours of browsing the internet today (25 July 2011) looking for sites that offer online jobs, earning extra income and so on and so forth on the net, I stumbled upon a site called ODESK.COM. I read as many informations I can get from this site and it seems the site is good. But still I have apprehensions and doubts regarding the legitimacy since it was my first time visiting the site.
In view of the above, I would like to ask anybody in the myLot community who has tried and applied jobs offered at ODESK.COM to SHARE their experiences (good or bad) with this site. How good their payment scheme, etc., etc. Your inputs are highly appreciated.

I tried signing up. And I also applied for jobs, but so far, I haven't been successful in getting a project yet. I'm still waiting patiently though.
