Yesterday, a new episode of Mind Master has aired in Philippine TV. The show is about a certain person who can read minds. In a set, he calls 5 people and he let them write something in a board in their hand. The mind master cannot see the board. Then one by one he reads their mind and he told what was written on their board. That was amazing if it is live and if I know the people called. Since it was just in TV, even if there were live audience, I am skeptical. I know human mind is very powerful but I don't believe there are people who can read minds. It only happens in movies and in dreams.
How about you, do you believe there are people who can read minds?

The human mind is truly amazing so you can never really know with certainty if it is plausible to read minds or just mumbo jumbo.
The most common explanation of people who can read minds (some have come forward and said this as well)is they subconsciously suggest what they want the person to think about, and hence know what there answer will be as they were the ones that put it there.

if he can read minds therefore he can be the qualified candidate to win a lotto before that jackpot prizes of 20 million Philippine pesos....
but he failed to join....
therefore....
myth....
not only lotto but a lot's of lotto, ever since before, he might win it all....
you would no longer work for money...
as money will only work for you....
he can't beat those Big Businessman Tycoons here in the Philippines....
those Big Businessman are the true mind masters.....

I think it's not possible to win lotto even if you are a mind reader. But having such ability will be good help if you play poker. If you read the cards of your opponent you'll know when to bet or fold.

How can mind reading help you win the lotto? its a random event, the balls do not have minds and decide what order they are going in. Same with all life really, you can call it fate, luck destiny etc but in all reality what your stating there is the ability to be able to predict the future, which is a paradox as if you can predict the future you have already changed it so it will never happen exactly as foreseen.
If you think about it mind reading would be as much a curse than anything, they would become a nervous wreck and probably become a hermit to get away from it all

I don't believe there are people who can read minds. If you're a fan of this gimmick though, I can point you to a more talented person. Search for Derren Brown. He does pretty much the same thing this dude from Mind Master does but better. You better check him out, he has a lot of videos on YouTube.com.

i do not really believe that someone can read minds.. this doesn't even makes sense with magic power.. maybe he had learn some techniques of listening to the sound of the board or the stroke of the participants in writing.. if we could read mind, then maybe there is no challenge in this world..

I don't believe in that either. All those happenings even in "live" screening, are often scripted and planned, backstage before the actual recording takes place. The same goes for magic and those tricks. Without audience who are willing to go along with them, mind master, magicians are nothing. With no claps and motivation from us, they will be everywhere, except for being on the stage.

I thought this show would turn out great and very fascinating but I stop watching it anymore because I am not convinced. It looks like everything can be easily set up. Maybe if I am there in the audience I would believe it too

Yeah, it is easy to set this show. Unless you experience it first hand, then you'll be a believer.
