I got a new job for nurses especially here in the Philippines, it is a very new job here in our country but in the other countries it is already a boom. A friend of mine is currently working at Microsourcing as a Clinical Abstractor and the requirements is that you should be registered nurse. From what I've understand, your work is mainly a non-voice that caters to review and summarizes patient's medical chart form their client [company or hospital] and re-transmit it back to them. The salary is based on your hospital exp, so if you don't have any exp, you will be expecting to have at minimum pay of Php 15,000 per month. I'd already applied for the said job and just waiting for the the company to have a new client and they are currently on man pooling.
Some BPOs also cater this kind of job as Medical Biller or Medical Coder I think, just try to search the web on this one.

I used to be one of those nurses who opted BPO job for the moment. I am just curious is it also hiring in some areas nationwide other than Manila? I have a friend who also work there in a BPO company that hires USRN nurses that offers great pay. she invited me to apply but I didn't take the NCLEX exam yet nor reviewed for it since the recession issue in the US.

I am not sure about the availability of those positions on other location since it is new to our country. In fact the first batch of Clinical Abstractors on the company that I applied for, started only last week for three weeks training. And now I am just waiting for the second batch to be filled and waiting for a client for my batch. One BPO company in MOA hires USRN with experience for the Medical Biller and the pay and benefits is good.
