When is President Obama going to offer a plan and show some compromise?

President Obama has called for the Republicans to compromise. the President wants a debt increase, Tax on the rich and a deal that goes beyound the 2012 election. the Republicans have come up with several different proposals which have all been rejected outright and no counter offer proposed other than Debt increase, tax the rich and a deal that goes beyound the 2012 election. Is compromise to the President accepting what he wants with no change? The Republicans seem to be the only ones who are making any effort to reach a compromise by offering new proposals while the President sings the same song.

probably you have to admit that you're looking at the discussions through right wing glasses. the gop has flatly refused any talks which ask revenue increases from the wealthy and corporations. from what i understand, the dems have indicated that they will consider medicare, medicaid and social security cuts as long as reverting to the bush tax levels is in the deal. who's not willing to compromise? can anyone seriously not believe that the gop's primary goal is to see obama fail? long term, how does this bode for future administrations? is that how we'll see our politicians operate? Anything obama agrees to, they reject, even if they initiated the proposal. we deserve more than that. for example, raising the debt limit has been a pro forma action. we've already spent the money, this is a device which allows us to pay the bills. it's been passed many times over the past couple of decades with no argument from either party. why now?

I have not seen or heard of any proposal the Democrats or the President has put forth on paper. They talk about they will do this or that but nothing has been put on paper and presented to the House to vote on. Is there a link to a specific plan that they will accept. Senator Reid would not even allow members to vote on Cut Cap and Balance. Is he afraid that with 60+% of the population in favor of such a proposal that it might hurt their reelection chances? Why is President so insistent that any deal has to go past the Election - is it so the American people will not see it as an issue in the election?

Obama doen't have a plan and never will have one cause he is not smart enough to write one and if he did write one it will be filled with nothing but more spending.....Give me a break he is the worst president we have ever had so Carter is now coming it as second worst...... All Obama know how to do is spend, spend,,,,So he doesn't need a second term and he doesn't need our support....
