visual or audio, your pick

Hi, on your rest day, are you more likely to watch the tv, go to the movies or more inclined towards tuning in to the radio and going for concerts. I note that there are certain segments in our community who would do either one or the other. Even going to the movies which are rather trashy. Personally, only if there are good movies would I then go to one or else I consider myself more of a audio person and will just tune to the radio or CDs. On my rest day, I can just lay back and relax whilst enjoying the music. I am not so much a tv person though.

We are exactly opposites, I cant live without TV, I learn more with visual things, I enjoy videos more than plain audio music.

Concerts can be pretty visual as well though, wouldn't you say? That is, if the band or singer puts on a good show! I prefer music over television any day though. I couldn't honestly live without my music - not one day!

My favorite choice when I have a free day is TV,usually if there are interesting sporting competitions and especially soccer matches;if not,I prefer listening to my favorite music and posting on mylot,I like music which gives me energy and inspires me,so I'm not the type who enjoys relaxing music. As for movies,I sometimes watch one,but only if it's good, and that doesn't happen very often.

sporting events such as the Olympics, Wimbledon or French Open do keep me clued to the TV as it generates real-live action. I just do not have much patience to stay clued to a series unless it is exciting but that is few and far between. Music is my thing coz I listen to them on the move and keeps me occupied whilst travelling long distance on the bus.

i usually end up going to the movies, its one of my hobbies, i really like it, and if there are not good movies at the cinema, i like to sit back at my home and watch tv and relax.

watching tv seems to be a cheaper alternative than to the movies.

Really both things are great i really like watching tv,movies and stuff playing games because it's relaxing fun and you can talk with your friends about it but music is also great you listen to it my favourite genres are different types of metal, rock and etc .but visual also is about games so when you combine visual and audio the best xD

thanks for your response. I think these days having a headset makes one more plugged into the surreal world of visual and sound.

I usually watch movies (DVD) at home together with my husband. We rarely see movies at the cinema. Sometimes we do watch tv. I don't listen to music at home but always do at the office while working.

Thanks for your response. I guess your choices are governed by circumstances and locations. And enjoying the best of both worlds too, haha.

Mostly, I like seeing things - sports channels, movies, reality shows, movie gossips, daily sops etc on Television. I do listen to radio at times. However, I am more into Television. I also watch videos on internet as well at times. Sometimes, I listen to music online also.

hi, with modern technology, the lines are blurred and we can even watch movies and listen to music on the move!! I guess the visual effect is more appealing than the soothing sounds of the radio.

I like music and I do like watching movies. It all depends on my mood. But most of the time, I listen to music. It relaxes me. It makes me feel good. I sometimes enjoy watching movies than TV shows. I like romantic-comedy movies.

Yes, music certainly does relaxes one unless it is heavy rock which is a ear-sore I think. Watching good movies can be pretty therapeutic but bad ones make one feel so short-changed.

Hi carpediem! I am most likely to watch movies or tv during my rest day especially if I have a newly purchased or a rented movie. The opposite is with listening to music because I am more likely to listen to music if I am doing something like for example in front of the computer or doing other chores. Listening to music while working on something creates a different kind of ambiance to your mood. Maybe it's because that I have more time to listen to listen that's why I prefer to watch movie or tv during rest day. Well I guess what's more important is that we are able to relax during our rest day and enjoy.

If there are good movies on, I will happily go to one of those, but I'm not really a tv or a radio person myself. Personally, I would much rather curl up with a good book, maybe with some music on in the background (though not radio because the talking puts me off my book).

thanks for your sharing. Good movies really do rejuvenate oneself and sometimes keep one thinking of the movie. Moulin Rouge is one of them as I enjoyed it thoroughly with the music to boot. Yes, reading a good book is therapeutic too but sometimes need to be in the mood to do so.

I think I'd go visual in here. Maybe because men are more visually stimulated. Just a hunch. Well anyway, during my rest days I just go over my computer and surf the internet or do myLotting. Other than that is I will watch my downloaded television series or play video games. But I do love listening to music too as sometimes I mix up my player while I'm doing something online. But still, I am more of a visual person as a pick.

I guess the appeal of the monitor and visual effects are more distinct than the imaginery world of music poetry.
