Are you into name brands?

My husbands sister is a big name brand person! Expensive name brands! Coach, Louis vuitton, banana republic. If it's super expensive she loves it! For me I could care less what name it has as long as it fits good, makes me look good and doesn't cog an arm and a leg! In fact I mostly shop at thrift stores! I just can't see myself dropping more than a couple bucks for a shirt and five bucks on pants! In fact last night me and the hubby was discussing what we'd do if we won the lottery. I told him I'd probably buy some clothes. Nothing expensive. Probably at a thrift store! Are some people just wired this way? Even if I had money I wouldn't go for the expensive stuff. Anyways who out there are name brand buyers and who just don't care like me?

I'm a combination of both! Sometimes i really go for name brands. I like Banana Republic and i like Lacoste. They do last. I choose branded clothes only when it comes to jeans and shirts that i get to wear many times. If it's only a one time dress for partying i go for the cheaper ones. I like shoes that are comfortable too and even slippers that have some benefits, so i wear a fitflop at home and everywhere even though it costs a lot to buy a pair. My husband is also into name brands when it comes to shirts and slippers. But we do both go for some cheap things sometimes. We just something that is of good quality and could last a long time.

I've never had a problem with anything not lasting a long time. In fact I have clothes that I've had for like five years in my closet.

see i think it all depends on the material.. and to be honest i'm not surprised you have things from a thrift store that lasted you a long time, because obviously they lasted someone else too before they got to the thrift store.. so you've obviously got good durable clothes.. but just the same as you can buy something cheap and flimsy that will get wrecked, something expensive can be made of like wool, or silk, and rip really easy and not last.. so i dont think its the price, more the material!

I'm not that into name brands with cloths. I do get some some of the more named brand stuff for athletic gear. I like Nike and Adidas. However, I am really into getting the named brand stuff for food. Even though other products are cheaper, I'm just used to buying the name brand.

Foods are a diffrent story! Some off brands just will not do. Take Oreos, the generic just do not taste the same!

Hi cupcakes! I just don't care about it. It expensive or cheap in price but if it suits me well and I am very comfortable with it I will have it. Brands has nothing to do with me. Usually I don't go for branded stuff with high price because I could not afford. Even if I could afford to buy such I will not buy them because I can get the same quality with the lower price and more pieces in some other places. I really not into branded stuff as I see it as just wasting the money you have. Unlike if you have other plans like you like branded stuff, you use it and at the same time you rented all the stuff you have and having business with it by selling it to others like in garage sale, bundle sale of branded stuff or sell it as second hand stuff etc. Then I could say that you have such a great investment but if you just treasure it for yourself then it is truly such a wasting habit.(^^)

I am not for branded clothes or other things. I buy whatever fits with my budget which is presentable and fits me well. People are enticed to buy these branded clothes because of media marketing, which of course gives benefit to these companies. But sometimes, there are people who need to buy branded clothes because of necessity like work and business because good branded clothes present a good personality or reputation. The excessive buying of these branded clothes is a different thing.

I simply don't care about the brands of the things I use, not just the clothes. People brag about the expensive branded clothes, shoes and bags they bought, but i just don't care! I would rather spend my money on something more meaningful than wasting it on Chanel or Prada. I find a lot of more cute stuff that are unbranded and way more cheap. I don't get why people buy expensive branded stuff. $10,000 for a bag? Come on! I can donate that amount to a charity and I'd feel great.

That's what I'm saying! Lol. His sited is always bragging about her stuff and how much she paid. All I'm thinking is man you are dumb and conceited for paying that much! I could throw everything out of my wardrobe and purchase new stuff for the price you paid for that one tiny handbag!

Hi cupcake!!! Is your sister rich? I also don't care about the brands. As long as I like the design, as long as it looks good on me, I will buy it IF I have the money. ^^ I also go into thrift stores! I shop at stores like that. I get more out of my money. ^^ I sometimes buy expensive stuffs, too but not that expensive. And getting a branded product would be just like a coincidence. Like, if I saw something and liked it, I wouldn't even care what brand it is. ^^ If I won the lottery I would probably save more than spend more.

I am a mixture of the two honestly. Well heck I just love clothes. LOL. I am obsessed with finding good deals. I never buy brand names full price. NEVER. If I go to the retail store, you can bet I'm shopping the clearance racks or going during a sale (or both!). Otherwise I stick to thrift stores and consignment shops (especially the latter). Brand name stuff (some of it) seems to last longer and have a more unique look to it. Not to say that I'm above wearing Target brands or stuff from Wal-Mart - I have all kinds of different brands. I don't own any Louis Vuitton (WAY out of my price range!!!) but I have one Coach purse I bought from a Coach Outlet store for a super good deal. I tend to lean toward brands..But generally it's whatever is cute and a good price that gets me!

When it comes to appliances, i am more into tested brand names. I don't mind if they cost a lot than other brands but what i would be sure of is they can serve me a long time. But when it comes to clothes, bags and shoes, i buy quality ones, but not exactly the branded expensive ones. I can buy a lot of nice , quality items with the cost of a branded item. At least i will have a lot of new things to wear when i buy those not branded ones. Besides, i easily get tired of using a thing for a long time. I want them more or less to be always fashionable.

I can't afford luxurious brands so I'll choose the cheaper ones but if I were like your husband sister then I'll probably buy one for myself! I am addicted to shopping and during my pay day I always find myself seeking for clothes, beautiful clothes but not so expensive. Juts like you, as long as it fits me perfectly then I'll go for it. :)

I would if I could afford it because most of them have good quality. But I would buy only a few and when it is important. But there are brands that are extremely expensive, and that I wouldn't try buying. Besides, it's not what you wear that makes you look good, but you, yourself.

im a brand buyer too but I dont buy that often. If I want to buy something, I look out after sales. I make sure that If I buy something I get it at a great deal. At the same time I also look after even cheaper brands I look for style and quality and of course price.

Maybe she's rich. Im also into brands but not expensive. I love clothes from Genevieve Gozum. It fits me. And looks good for a petit person like me. But hey, did you know that you can avail expensive branded clothes without spending too much? Check out those sites that offers big discount for high end stores. And those "buy by bulk" site. You know it's worth it. They are offering up to 95% discount.

I buy useable second hand stuff from surplus shops. I check it thoroughly before purchasing an item and it saves me a lot. What branded items bring is their seal of quality.

I used to be brand conscious when I'm still studying. It is easy just to spend, spend and spend back then since I don't have to work for money just have to wait for my allowances to be given to me. When I've graduated and started working that's when I've realized how hard it is to earn and budget money. Now I just go for clothes that I like, I look good at and comfortable to wear and not for the brand. The saying is true, "you wear the clothes and not the other way around". Also there are lots of good finds if you are just patient enough to search.

I am not into expensive name brands. I have a vegan diet and enjoy buying from ethically clean companies. I like to shop for clothes at a budget minded shop. I recently bought c cotton blouse that is white with patterns of green, turquoise and black. I also bought a pair of cotton trousers. I like to buy vegan food and quite like supermarket own name brands. I like going to thrift stores. If I won the lottery I would do lots more traveling to different countries. I would be able to buy a camper van for weekends away. I would be able to move to a larger bungalow.

I am with you Madam. I am not that care about the name brand. I would rather wear something comfortable that even cost around $5.00 from walmart or thrift stores. My ex - girlfriend who is into name brand, and honestly, I can't afford to give her anything from the mall. So, probably that is reason we broke up. Anyway, I despise those girls who into name brand, and not knowing saving money is the basic virtue.

I like some of them, but not all of them. Some of them are really superior when it comes to craftmanship and fit, so those are great, but with most of them, you really just pay for the brand, and I am not so keen on those. So for me, it depends which brand we are talking, hehe!

I use to care for name brands until I realize that they all make the same thing but just but their marks in it. I just buy things at a cheap price because it saves me money. I'd rather be fashionable and still have a lot of money to buy more clothes then be fashionable and bankrupt.
