Do you know this situation? You are seeking advice and the familymember or friend you are asking is rather trying to impose their will upon you. They don't seem to want to be of gnuine help, or at least seem to have another idea of that as you. Have you experienced that once?

I definitely have and I'm sure that everyone has at one point or another. People like parents seem to take any chance they have to "impose their will" upon others. This probably because they know they are seen as wise and feel that their will is greater than anyone younger. I think friends or particularly best friends are good for discussing advise because they are usually around the same age and chances are that you will be less judged by them than a parent.
